  1. A years option also it says. If he bangs em in then Hughes signs we could well have a settled strikeforce for the 1st time in years
  2. He scored goals. Look at Lee Hughes, Luke Beckett and Chris Porter. Hardly ran themselves into the ground yet still do/did the business. Chris Killen was one of the best strikers weve had in years, just a shame he was always injured. I heard a rumour though that he was on something like 6k goal bonus due to him signing in the Chris "Hope he dies" Moore era, and the new board werent overly keen for him to be playing games.
  3. For a minute there I was seeing a racist comment. Unfortunately my brain doesnt work that quickly to understand worded jokes. On the Reuben case he is like our Christiano Ronaldo, wouldnt sell him for any amount of money. Id offer him a lifelong contract, I think he could still do a job well into his 70s
  4. Taylor has done nothing since Lomax has been on his side. Lomax doesnt get forward at all and therefore both wide men for the oppo can team up on Taylor, who tbh isnt good enough to beat 2 players. When jones played he dragged the winger so taylor had one man to get at and he occasionally beat them. As for Andy Liddell, Id be telling him its time to retire. Why on earth would Sheridan waste a substitute by putting Liddell and Smalley on the bench when clearly only 1 will get on and it aint gonna be Smalley.
  5. I always thought the shoe waving meant you would have the opposition fans running after the game. Anybody see my mates shoe get thrown onto the tarpaulin at the right hand side.
  6. Ha ha Lee Hughes was in Tokyos last night and was doing THE dance on the dancefloor. Well funny
  7. I cannot see how bar Fleming, the centre halfs and the centre mids anyone can take any sort of positives from today. What on earth has Taylor done in recent weeks to warrant a 1st team spot, and why take Byfield off when he was the only striker actually doing anything. Not that Im disappointed as I thought with the way we played a point is fantastic, but this unbeaten run has far to many draws. Dont slate me as I love the man but each week the feeling that Sheridan cant get us out of this division gets stronger. He is very very tactically naive. Also 1million for Eardley from Bristol... fancy a lift Neal, Id be happy to drive you there.
  8. With FA Cup games we are the only top 6 team playing on Saturday and a win at Hudds will put us 3rd in the table. With MK Dons away at Peterborough next Tuesday we could well be back in the automatic promotion hunt.
  9. With Shezs comments about Hughes do you feel that should Hughesy be sold, Shez may well make a stand and leave the club as any decent players he has get sold on without his concent. Also if Hughesy does go then I cant see much assault on promotion happening and thus it will cost Sheridan his job anyway as is he not at the end of is 3 year plan then. Same with Taylor, even if Taylor is a bone idle lazy attitude problem git. He still looks dangeroous sometimes.
  10. Its ridiculous. Eardley has game of his life at Crewe away in centre mid and yet isnt even considered. Danny Whittaker is no better than Gary Macdonald and is not the man to win us a match. Dale Stephens scored 2 goals for the reserves in their last game and yet isnt even in most squads. Kevin Maher played in 3 winning teams and still was dropped. And Kieran Lee is an ex Man Utd highly rated trainee and looked a good player in his solitary appearance at Burnley. Why on earth do we still play the same team at home. Id have Sheridan managing the away matches and anybody else managing the home matches as he doesnt seem to have any clue how to break teams down who defend all game. Thus we lose points in games against relegation fodder. Also what kind of club lets a striker who they payed a fair amount of money for go on loan to a divisional rival for him to spur the other team on and leapfrog the parent club. The club is an absolute joke at the moment, and those who look at it otherwise wear rose tinted specs. Btw Im actually very very happy with the results we have been getting and our current league position. But with the amount of young raw ability and blend of experience this squad should be looking at flying in this league. Draws arent good enough.
  11. I asked please let some silly club pay a fortune for one of our "Highly rated" full backs. Looks like this could happen. Prefer it if it was Lomax though. Eardley centre midfield would gain us promotion.
  12. Nik do you actually just support Oldham athletic to show your pessimistic side. Thats a great result and when apparent ridiculous pens happen, you cant exactly call it crumbling. John Sheridan cant be blamed for a poor back pass by Reuben Hazell. How on earth can you be calling Shez out after a result like that. Peterborough will be one of the challenging teams and if were a place behind them come the 46games well have a great chance of being promoted. Your view is just weird, its not even that its completely unjust its just what the hell are you thinking.
  13. Please Please PLEASE stop singing the great escape. Its an England song and just cos we have got a feckin drum doesnt mean we should all join in with this patheticness. Leave it for the England games.
  14. I wouldnt be suprised if Paul Scholes was our next manager as I cant see Shez leaving in the near future
  15. Liddell for me was having a very good game whereas Danny Whittaker did bugger all imo. He sent Allessandra to warm up about 20minutes before the end and brought him on with 2 to go. Stupid we should have gone gung ho at them. Sean Gregan more or less played midfield for the last 20minutes so why not replace him with Maher. Also why on earth after we took our right winger off did we keep playing the ball to Lomax who then had no option but to boot it up the field. That game cried out for someone like Chris Porter due to the fact we put numerous balls in the box and yet no one bothered attacking them and noone looked like even scoring off them. Set pieces are problem aswell were rubbish at attacking them and rubbish at defending them. I get nervous if they get a corner.
  16. I should have guessed itd be a southern venue with your name having oasis in it. Im sure you didnt miss all that much. Johnny Brownshoes was fantastic on his own at the castle but the band werent up to much.
  17. I doubt its this as surely it wouldnt have just been Chalmers who got the sack. Also I heard the rumour that Chalmers has been acting a dick all season and recently refused to do a drugs test with this being the last straw.
  18. More importantly, where are Twisted Wheel playing at. I quite like them but they were pretty poor at Oasis. The sound was bad so the only one you could make out was You Stole The Sun
  19. Hopefully you wont be making a stop in Munich
  20. Once upon a time I heard a terrible rumour that Sky were discriminating against Latics as they wouldnt play a Latics game whilst Lee hughes was amongst our team. I no it was a rumour, but I could see them not wanting this as it could be bad PR. My question is, is it a coincidence that as the Lee Hughes transfer seems imminent (especially after hardy has quoted in the paper to back the release clause) is this the reason why we now have 2 games on sky after the January transfer window? By the way Ive just seen Barrys post and I hope that means its a good sign cos I really dont want to see our season go down tha pan again like when we sold Trotman last season.
  21. Sheff Utd Hull and Reading battling it out over 700k rated Taylor. Id never enter BP again should we sell him for so little. Im not a huge fan, but his record of goals and assists is fantastic and hed definitely command a bigger fee in my eyes. Thats just 200k more than Trotman who had only played handful of games.
  22. According to some on this board, thats what usually happens. It could be cunning tactics from Sheridan, as it may cut out some of the moaning from fans who usually bollock Crossley for every other thing and thus with nothing to moan at may actually cheer on the side. Smart move some may say
  23. Millwall yes MK and Peterborough no. Peterborough have a very very good strike force which wil propbably get them 60 goals between them and Mk are possibly the best team weve played this season, and looked a very good outfit, so I would expect only Millwall and possibly Scunthorpe ( althoyugh they do seem to beat the yeovils and Cheltenhams) to drop out of that top 6. it may be a case of forcing our way back in by hoping one team slips up, ie Leeds at Northampton on tuesday
  24. Mark Allott - A Rat Sean Gregan - A Pie Danny Whittaker - An Alien
