First of all Id like to say I think the young players are brilliant signings and can only improve thus giving us a real chance of achieving something in the next few years. But by buying players which will develop in the future is Sheridan risking his job. People have already been on record saying they expect promotion this year as Sheridan will have had 3 years and a completely new squad which he will have put together himself. Therefore with the young players coming in, and taking parts of the budget (transfers and wages) then will Sheridan have a strong enough team to challenge this year. Should the team take time to gel like recent seasons, then we could well be looking at another mediocre mid table finish. Hopefully I will be proved wrong, but I do feel Sheridan is taking a gamble on his future by signing unproven youngsters, who are tipped to be future stars. Unfortunately if they dont produce straight away and come christmas were lingering in the bottom half, a lot of questions will be asked. I hope everything goes well as I can see a great long future for Sheridan but his job is based on results, and unfortunately it could potentially backfire.

This is the £300k+ we lost in revenue from tickets being sold. Possibly due to the fact nearly evry home game we played was boring. If I hadnt purchased a season ticket I sure wouldnt have paid £20 to get in. Also how about the 500k we got from Trotman, Im sure that nestled nicely in their pockets, and more than made up for the revenue they lost due to the fact they sold by far our best player meaning we werent ever going to pose a serious promotion threat, thus leading to bad gate falls. Thats a pathetic statement and epitomises that they truly are only in it for a nice profit from the stadium. Its pathetic that people stick up for them, saying they love the club. No my friends if you pulled the wool a little aside from your eyes, youll see theyre only in it for the money. If you want higher crowds, get us the right money for a SERIOUS PROMOTION CHARGE, not many fans will be tempted by " This year our aim is to make the playoffs." Yet again. After thinking about consistency and determination to win the only time I can remember this sort of happenings behind the scene was when Dowie was here and John Harbin was the sort of "fitness" coach. All the slogans and will to win was always seen in the games. Maybe this had something to do with our achievement of reaching the playoffs and looking like a solid team that year. I think with Shezs comments recently about not being mentally strong enough if someone could be brought in to take over that role for us now. It cant do any wrong and on past achievements seemed to work. The key to this league is consistency and if players are consistently motivated and have a consistent desire to win then theirs no reason we cant do what Carlisle have done this year and what Scunthorpe and Colchester have done in recent seasons. The team we had under Dowie wasnt a lot better than what we have now and their is also a hell of a lot of potential in this squad. If we got the young players enjoying fotball instead of being moaned at each week then we could be in with a big shout next year.
