  1. He may have been training with us. He lives in Hale and Rangers allow him to train in the North West before commuting up to Scotland the day before a game. No chance of him giving up his Rangers wage to play for us though.
  2. http://www.thisisplymouth.co.uk/pafc/argyl...il/article.html Ridsdale says he expects to have further talks with Plymouth, but also says he has had talks with other clubs, some of which are still ongoing.
  3. Sounds like he has definitely switched his attentions back to Plymouth, given that he has gone public that he is in negotiations with them. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...yle/9228231.stm A Cardiff supporting friend tells me that he has spent the last few months touting himself around several clubs as the figurehead for a group of American investors. Apparently he is pitching himself as the man with the experience and know how to deliver a new stadium whilst his backers provide the funds.
  4. He's agreed a deal to sign for Coventry according to Talk Sport.
  5. I've beentold that Morecambe have offered him a contract
  6. Got one at the Leeds game. So far I've received 2 letters from them, followed by a 3rd letter from them in which they pretend to be a debt collection agency. From past experience I expect 1 more leter before they give up. They are fully aware that they don't have a leg to stand on legally but that doesn't bother them because after 4 letters around 70% of people will have paid the 'fine' so its a nice little business for them.
  7. Thinking about it a bit more, it may actually be the case that is not a Latics fan who is responsible for the scarf. Back in the days when I went there you could only get in the Sparta clubhouse if you were a member (seaon ticket holder) or were signed in by a member. I did ask the member I was with and a couple of others about the Latics scarf and they weren't aware of how it got there but did say many of the scarves were brought back by members who had been to see matches in England.
  8. I used to live in Rotterdam and went to see Sparta a few times. The scarf was already on the ceiling in the clubhouse when I first went in there and that was in 2001.
  9. In the party stand at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium, Antigua watching England vs. Sri Lanka in the 2007 Cricket World Cup. The guy wearing was originally from Oldham but now lives in Abu Dhabi and was on a trip to the cricket with work mates.
  10. My Coventry City suporting mate told me yesterday that his source, who works at the club, says they are "hopeful" that Eardley will sign for them, but no fee agreed yet.
  11. I also heard the same story from a friend who has an exec box at Bradford. He knows the Chairman and a few of the Directors fairly well. He said we're in pole position to sign Furman as he wants to play at the highest level he can. He described him as a fantastic box to box midfielder who always gives 100% and said he definitely will not dissapoint us if he signs.
  12. Gannon is the "hot favourite" according to the MEN http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/spo...pped_for_latics
  13. I'd reccommend downoading one of the ebooks/guides available on the web about appealing against parking tickets. I got 1 called 'No More Parking tickets' and have used it to successfully appeal against 4 tickets issued in the last 18 months. In their haste to get the thing typed out and slapped on your windscreen before you get back, its very common for them to make mistakes that render the ticket unenforceable. Its also very common for the road markings to be wrong. Apparently less than 1% of parking tickets are challenged but 60% of challenges are successful. Sometimes the council will just rollover and admit defeat as soon as you query the ticket because they don't have the resources to investigate and reply to you.
  14. I swapped my broadband and all my other utilities over to The Utility Warehouse a few months ago. No problems at all with the service and I save over £70 a month on what I used to spend. https://www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk/home/ind...af?exref=C30247
  15. Stockport were always going to let us in to maximise revenue. Those guys in the home end brought it on themselves by celebrating so openly when we scored. I was in the home section of the Popular Stand and only realised that half the people sat around me were Latics fans when they didn't stand up to cheer the Stockport goals. There were no celebrations when we scored.
