  1. So I suppose you can argue that Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool were all non-league at one time too? You do argue on shifting sand don't you? The fact is Latics do own BP, Doncaster don't own the Keepmoat yet you say they have left us behind. of thye three you mention only Yeovil are truly non-league in that the other two bounced back with a solid league tradition and infrastructure. And how have Yeovil "left us behind"?
  2. Would agree with your second sentence. Other than that it's the normal Latics are crap spoutings. Which non-league clubs have "left us behind" and in what respects? And by non-league I, and most others, would assume that you don't include Doncaster - who are doing well (although they don't own their ground) and are in the same division as ourselves.
  3. Indeed. We were in the Lancs Combination when I started in 1960. , then left and went into the Cheshire League. And , under Mister Bates, were also in the Northern Floodlight League for a while! This was I think his "brainchild" and only lasted few seasons. When it folded we were forced into the Lancs League and our reserves were up against (and I quote from a 69/70 programme -) Bury A, Chorley Reserves, Fleeetwood Reserves, Burnley A etc... Hardly stiff opposition.
  4. No. Not at all. Are you allowed out in the daylight?
  5. And who will the Gayfarm turn to now? Martin Allen? Stitch has had a year there, hardly had chance. Disappointed that losing to Latics was the catalyst and really hope that he bounces back.
  6. That is disappointing. Gives us left side options, has played well in centre.... A bummer.
  7. Franny is good funand a great Latics insitution. The way people come on and lob personal abuse at him is , I'm afraid, typical of much of what is wrong about some Latics fans. Vitriol, at players , club workers, volunteers , seems to be the default position for many of them.
  8. the guy John Batchelor is despised in York for what he did to York City. All talk and no delivery and club left in worse position than before.
  9. Quite so. It seems TTA are pulling out but at the same time they are urging the signing of a loan player on large wages....... My mate's old girlfiend's cousin in Biggleswade heard from his windowcleaner that you can get cheap mobile telephones nowadays - and that's caussed TTA's business to go belly up.
  10. Complete and utter garbage.. Huckerby is on a massive wage I see you have posted 5 times. Let's not increase that. Goodnight and goodbye.
  11. Have you been in the isolation ward for weeks?
  12. He's gone to Forest for the rest of the season on Championship wages. Crossley out for a couple of weeks - why bust the bank ?
  13. Like Hughes, Davies, gregan, Hazell, ... Thanks Slurmy . Accurate as ever.
  14. Remind him of it when Hughes plays next season.
  15. Excellent on the first point. You can call them a "shower of Sh4te " to their face. On the second - well, you could make that offer but, as has been pointed out above, for a lot of fans the current ticketing strategy ain't broke. Put it foward and see what the response is?
  16. So are you going? Never mind you are "happy to attend AGMs" - are you going on 31st March? and are you going to write this ticketing strategy?
  17. You can call it what you like. Others will call it financial and business reality. And let me ask you the same question I put to Kyle. Are you going to the Supporters Assn Q & A evening to put your points to Simon Corney and others from the club?
  18. And the answers to my other two questions i.e. are you going to put your criticisms to Corney et al ? has the club ever done anything that pleased you? I certainly think that you should do the first of these - if you really believe what you write and have the cojones to put it to people that can do something about it! Perhaps you can say it to their faces "You are a shower of sh4te"
  19. Appalling gingerist comment by Liddell in the programme. Shez out for that. Seriously, well said.
