  1. The season is finished. Total waste of money. Embarrassed by our performance.
  2. The captain throwing a Dons player to the floor? What a hero.
  3. How I am feeling, think it may be the last game I go to this season - wait for Shezza's interview - "not at the races" "apologise to the fans" "won't stand for it" "won't happen again". I love Shezza but he has to go. There was no passion, no drive, no shape - why should we bother turning up when the players can't be bothered and the manager cannot motivate them? Standing there with his arms crossed - I would have been jumping up and down on the touchline if I was the manager? Why can't they be bothered - its beyond me. Came out at 4.45 and thankfully missed the 6th goal. If we are not careful TTA will be upping sticks - give Shezza his P45 and give Andy Ritchie till the end of the season - how much worse can we do? I am gutted big time. There were even Oldham fans slating each other with a group shouting for Shezza's head, get Ritchie in, and some deluded ones still praising him. It beggared belief. Slate me if you like, I am past caring. I love this club to bits and am gutted tonight beyond belief.
  4. Just had a call from the Daily Express - my husband has won 2 tickets to the Emirates tomorrow night, and as a special guest of the Champions League promotion he has to carry a flag out onto the pitch in a Gunners kit. We also think there is a meal, and corporate seats. Am still shaking - will of course miss the latics match against bristol, but how could we turn these down, and another ground to add to the tally. Look out for him on ITV4, anyone who tunes in! And here's to three points against Rovers tomorrow.
  5. Chris Taylor denied blatant penalty Hangover but what the hell We could have won game Deano you were fab love Proud of all our lads
  6. Morning all. Had a frost, but all local forecasts say it is expected to clear soon, and my sources nearer the centre of Leicester seem to indicate it is an improving picture. Have a safe trip down - if I hear anything else locally, I will post it on here.
  7. Just a quick update from driving through centre of Leicester. Roads just about clear, some of pavements still a bit dicey but certainly "walkable". Only had a covering of snow in the rural areas, and it looks like things are being geared up for tomorrow. Obviously, we will have to see what happens tonight, snow and ice wise, and what I will do is update this post in the morning - I have a workmate who lives in Leicester primed to let me know (as I am 10 miles out of the centre).
  8. lol sounds good for some Caribbean sunshine, or a postponement, especially if Hughesey is not playing - I have been giving everyone at work stick about "your players will never handle him, you just wait" - we will now have to wait and see, and I am praying for it to be snowed off if he is not fit. Its took the edge off it for me a bit.
  9. Weather update - on local radio everything being done to keep the game on. Leicester has had a fair pounding of snow today (I am in the sticks and booked the day off, but the centre is not too bad, so I am being told). It is snowing at the moment, and has been on and off all day. IMO it is only fair for all coming from Oldham to be considered, especially those who have bought tickets, so I really hope everyone who has to make the trip is given enough notice. Everything being geared up for the game on all local radio stations, thats all I know at the minute.
  10. Quick weather report from me, who has just driven past the stadium about 30 minutes ago - a lot clearer from a snow point of view, and Leicester fans I know say they are doing everything they can to keep the game on - Leicester away at Walsall tonite is on, so imagine the pitch at Walkers will be covered. That being said, the temperatures are cold, about 2 in the day and -3 at night, so think it will may be down to see what else we get here in Leicester snow and ice wise - suppose could be postponed if pitch is frozen. Will try and keep u posted anything I know or hear.
  11. I know the game at Walker's is on Sky on 7 February. Have I dreamt it, or are the games on 3 Feb (Bristol Rovers) and 2 March (Leeds) on as well?
  12. Without tempting fate, does anyone know the confirmed dates of the League 1 play offs, as am looking at booking a holiday?
  13. Think they deserved it after that performance IMO - though still a bit peeved at spending the best part of £100 on food, drink, petrol and the like to Hereford - though we have to, and have, put that behind us.
  14. It is walkable - about 15-30 mins depending on how quick you walk! As far as I know (from people I know who support Leicester) the fans are OK, but bear in mind that Leicester people are quite ignorant generally (apart from me of course!) I would advise people to do their homework re parking - not sure what it says on football ground guides, but the street parking is very limited, and you will probably end up parking somewhere like Aylestone Road or Saffron Lane - there is an NCP car park on Welford Road, but a bit pricey, and about a 20 min walk. I saw the offer in the Leicester Mercury and have also pursued it, but it is for home fans only, and I could not trust myself to keep my mouth shut in the home end so I will be a Leicester lass in the away stand - hope the ticket office will send me two tickets for the away end! See you there!
  15. We were lucky to get anything at all - they didn't really seem bothered IMO. We play Leicester in a months time, and if we play like we did yesterday we are going to get laughed out of the Walker's and I will have to go into hiding. We sung our hearts out for them, and the majority of the team didn't deserve to wear the shirt yesterday. I am not going to single people out, they were collectively poor and if they carry on playing like that we will drop out of the play off zone pretty damn quick. If I was the owner I would be questioning what the hell is going on - is it the players, team, manager, or what, we need to stop just keep getting draws. We cannot carry on like this, attendances are poor at BP and people will start to lose faith and stay away even more. If points had been awarded for how well the fans sung, we would have won 25-0, shame the players gave nothing back. The only ones who should have been paid yesterday should have been Gregan, Hazell, Fleming and Allott, and Davies. Come on lads, get your arses into gear, Shez included. We KNOW this team can play, so lets see it.
  16. He's worth more than £700 k. If the club are serious about promotion we need to keep him. End of. It has been the Chris Taylor show for the past two weeks, and the club need to give him a good enough offer. Having said that, if he is given a decent offer elsewhere who could blame the lad for going. He works his socks off, and has been a pleasure to watch the last couple of games. I hope we manage to keep him.
  17. Should have let me in the dressing room after the match - I would have sent a hat round to pay for all of our ticket money and petrol, then kicked them all up the a***. Really disappointed with them - anyone got any idea how many latics fans went?
  18. Utter waste of money Deserve wearing the shirt Look like your'e bothered
  19. Good turn out of Latics fans. Should have saved my money and stayed at home. Didn't play too bad in 1st half - the scoreline flattered Swindon. 2nd half we did not come out at all - defence shocking, players couldn't be arsed and they were collectively rubbish. Allott had a shocking game and the rest were not much use either. I have had a 2 and a half hour journey - I pity anyone who has the drive back to Oldham - the players should be docked their wages - if it was performance related pay they would be getting THEIR cheque books out. What a let down. My questions are : Where was Kelvin Lomax? Why hoof the ball upfield to Hughes and Ormerod - their markers were a good foot taller? How do they think they are going to be up the top with the others playing like that? Aren't they bothered? Yes, I know we are still 7th, but two defeats this week and four goals conceded. Not good enough. What will Scunthorpe do to us in this shocking state - get it sorted Shezza.
  20. Not strictly football, I know, but I am thinking of changing from Orange. Anyone able to recommend a good ISP?
  21. Leicester would have been even more hacked off that there was (1) a smash on the M62 and (2) even worse accident on the M1, along with roadworks - we had to come off M62 at Leeds, skirt back onto M1 and got home just before 9. Nightmare journey, and yes I agree, their fans were pretty poor vocally - I think we usually manage to outsing most anyway!! At least I can go to work with my head held high, with none of the Foxes crowing!!!!!
  22. Can't be Lewis as his pic is on the first page of the official site.
  23. Does anyone know if there are any people or charities that take old shirts - I have a right collection that I am loathe to part with, but realistically I am not going to be doing anything with them, and if they can be worn by children or people worse off than us it would put them to good use. Any ideas?
  24. I am married to a Gunners fan. He's been to a few Latics games, but when he don't want to come into the game I come in on my own and he goes shopping - role reversal or what to all you chauvinists! lol
  25. Is there is any remote chance of this match being changed for any reason - just looking at accommodation to make it a nice weekend.
