With what seems to be a brilliant busy January transfer window at Latics this month, getting rid of the unwanted players off the wage bill and getting in new, better players, is this the best January transfer window we've ever had? I'd say so. What have been your highlights in the past? And the worst ones. This could be players leaving being good or players going being good too!

They didn't even have to make a decision due to all the other clubs being bigger, 5 out of 6 Premiership, us league one. If they kept it bigger, then they might have had to kick us out, but suppose we will never know as they can always use this excuse. Got this email from them, pretty much confirms it, albeit with a different and sort of understandable reason : "Thanks for your email David – the football off season is now much shorter than it used to be and hence there is only room in Sky’s scheduling for the 6 heats not 8 (plus Sky have a much heavier focus on cricket than they used to) – not our decision!! Teams are to be confirmed but I would imagine without a scheduled Manchester event, Oldham are unlikely to feature in 2011. We fully appreciate there is a demand from all Latics fans to be a apart our Masters Cup again and we hope we can accommodate you and them in the future. All the Best David. Regards Adam"

Had a look on the masters website, and there are again only 6 regional events not 8 as in previous years. So last years story about downsizing due to the World Cup was b0110cks. Masters Football Excuse With this in mind, I doubt they will find room for little Latics. And forget the trouble at 2009 etc! Last year north west was City, United, Bolton, Blackburn, Stoke, Leeds, and doubt they will bump one of them for us.

I think we had 7 at one point at end of Shez's reign, sure it's 5 in match squad. Remember Kabba or Hines had to sit out IIRC.

That photo in the article does his fatty reputation no favours, licking his lips an all. Sometimes photos just shouldn't be posted for certain articles. When Bramble got arrested, I saw this photo in the article and thought he must be guilty!! Story Sorry to bring that up it just reminded me of my reaction to the photo!

Also when we played Bolton at Burnden Park and Mark Allott scored on his debut. 3-0 down, restricted view, right at the end my dad tells me to pick up my programme from under my seat, and missed the goal!!

As mentioned, Rochdale, flying over to the Isle of Man on my birthday, with my girlfriend for her first ever footy match! Hope the next one isn't cancelled!! Also although obviously great day, only got to the City 1-0 Vernon match just before half time. Was supposed to be getting the fast boat over to Liverpool, but got moved to the heavier boat to Heysham due to the high winds. Seen on the telly on the boat reporter at BP saying match is in danger of being called off due to advertising boards being blown off or something IIRC. Got to Heysham about 30 mins before kick off, had to pay for a taxi straight to ground. Heard about the goal via text and on the radio!
