    Does anyone remember Archie Whyte came from Barnsley in the 50/60s he didnt take any prisoners, they used to play with the old casie ball including the lace.when I was a lad men were men and the women were glad of it so they say.Off the subject Bert Trautmen played in a cup final with a broken neck.

    Does anyone remember Alan Williams centre half in the 60s I think he later signed for Ipswitch,he was cool as a cucumber a very talenanted player indeed.

    The best player i have seen at b.p. by a mile he did not have to run about he could keep the ball till Bert Lister or any forward found space to work in no wonder he could put another few thousand on the gate a truley magical player to watch.

    yes I was we beat Exeter 4 2 what a player, even now at the age he was then he would be the first player on my teamsheet without doubt.

    Wilf Hobson Billy Naylor John Thomson and Don Travis are a few of the players missing from the 50s latics teams some of our fans may remember them

    My worry would be can Greegan play on again next season or do we need a good backup

    I was at that match what a player some one with his talent would soon get the crowds back at B.P in no time no wonder he used to increase the gate by at least 2000 fans

    Apparentley he can play any position apart from goalie. I knew we should have kept Windyass (TIC)

    No it was definately blue and white quarters (like Blackburn) I started going in 1953 the year we where relegated from the old div 2

    Do any of our older fans from the 50s and 60s remember the blue and white quarter shirts like Blackburn Rovers and Bristol Rovers we used to wear or is my memory playing tricks on me

    Do any of our fans remember Charlie Williams (Comediens)played in goal for Doncaster he had our crowd in stiches when was in goal sat on the wall at the side of the goal telling jokes.

    I like that shirt but the one I mean had blue and white quarters like Bristol Rovers used to have from 1931 till1962

    I am sure we used to play in blue and white quarter shirts in the 50s & early 60s like Blackburn rovers/Bristol city strip. or maybe my memory is playing tricks or I could have been supporting the wrong team for 55 years though
