    I must go to specsavers I will call the home for the bewildered when I can remember where I live so they can carry me off being a Latics fan for 62 years may count in my defence

    I started watching the Latics in 1953 I was convinced we used to have a blue and white quartered shirt like Blackburn and Bristol rovers but perhaps my memory playing tricks on me does anyone else remember it if not I will surrender myself to the home for the bewildered.

I saw it happen tonight on tv viewers of Qpr v Man city match do not answer for a while you are watching the match. Its the first time I have seen it done in 60 years of watching football. get your thinking caps on

    I saw Latics play Accrington Stanley in the 50s/60s they had 10 Scotsmen in the team like you say we have some good ones over the years

    With our luck a woman in our chippie says Messie and Ronaldo could be signing for us I hope not, ones very left footed and the other is no spring chicken I know they like a challenge but are they ready for this one.

    What happened when uncle Joe left for Everton does that answer your question not that P.D. is as good but he certainly has the potential to become a very good manager given time and a bit of luck thats if we can keep him long enough.

    time machine theres only one for me Bobby Johnstone he was past his best when he came to us but he was worth the addmission fee alone he was sheer magic and your grandad was right if we could have his talent now he was a centre forwards dream player Bert Lister would vouch for that.

    Thanks for that info not a bad forward line I must be getting confused but after being a Latics fan since 1953 I deserve a bit of sympathy or perhaps a lot of treatment,I must keep taking the tablets once again thanks.

    I was at that match I think it was a defender named Taylor that scored for us but it was disallowed because when he shot he burst the ball and they had a bounce ball where he shot from that was at the open end to the right of the main stand. it was a great match though.

    Can anyone remember us playing Liverpool in the FA CUP at Boundary park it must have been late 50s or early 60s I think we lost 2-1 or 3-1 they had a great team then I stood behind the goal at the open end as it was then,I remember us scoring but it was not given because Taylor a defender burst the ball when he shot that would have put us level at 2-2 the place was packed that day, though we lost we did ourselves proud good old days.

    It must be costing us a fortune employing a full time first aid bloke for Chris Taylor, can we not get the rest of the players to just pull their toungue out at him instead, save us some money.

    My first match was in 1953 2nd div I remember Billy Naylor playing alongside G Hardwick also we had a right half called J Thomson can anyone remember the rest of the team then without looking it up.

    A really good right half scored some good goals for Oldham agreed he had some shot on him scored quite a few from outside the area, a class above our level a pleasure to watch RIP.
