Well that first half was back to the games of August, really poor. Change of shape needed for second half. Would bring Tope, Holloway and Hunt on if all fit to play. Davies, dont think hes touched the ball all half, its been that bad! Go 4 at the back with Hunt coming on Wilson goes beside Gerrard and Dummy rb. Would take Byrne, Fane and Gardner/Nepo in middle, Holloway, Davies and Tope up top and go after them. If we get 1 think they will crumble. Need an early goal. McLaughlin cant beat first man with a cross, Flynn has done nothing wrong but hes lightweight and Nepo or Gardner to sit out second half.

There must be an illness with some of the players on the pitch at the minute because this is bad. We our playing poorly, passing is pretty shocking and back 3 have no support when defending. We are no threat going forward at all. What is this fukin formation all about.

Take that. Ref had a poor second half. Think Donny must have been told at half time to go out and niggle at us, ref lost control a tad. Donny are a horrible side, scored and started to time waste with 30 mins left, pretty poor. I know every team does it but to me its taking the biscuit with 30 min to go and they paid the price for it. A lot of backward passing today, kept the ball well though. We seem to be adverse to clearing the lines when under pressure at the back, caused us a few problems. Thought we had an average day, no real bad or stand out displays. Missed Dummy raiding down the right. McLaughlin gets back to his best and starts picking players out with his crosses,he will be another asset. I feel he hits the first def alot. Even before his injury. Good point considering the lateness of the goal. My MOM would be Doyle just because he scored.

Okay first half. Lots of bakward passing today, keeping the ball i suppose, Doyle has a thankless task. Two great chances for either side, ours cleared on the line, some run from Tope, super save by Jonny from Donnys. Think a goal may win it today, not much between teams at the moment.

Wonder how much Wigan would be after for Byrne. If he does go back to them Im not sure if another league 1 side would pay the asking price, 750,00 to 1 million? Not a clue what his value is, as mentioned we were at one point supposed to be getting him on a free!!

He is clearly growing in confidence, made me laugh when he more or less shoved Byrne out of his way to get to the ball for a driving run, think he was fouled at the end of it!. Wellens seems to have loosened his reins somewhat.

That was top class today. Pressing, work rate and snapping into tackles. Everyone played well. The football we played at times was a joy to watch, one move in the second half where if Doyle scores it may have been on par with the Portsmouth goal or even better. Crisp passing into feet and excellent movement without the ball when attacking. Tracking back, very impressive also. Tope and Nepo aswell as Fane and Gardner covered some ground today. Thought Tope was outstanding, didnt see Tue but he looks revitalised. Some great touches and skill with the ball at his feet. Byrne his usual self again, very good game and deserved his goals as did all our scorers Great win today. Not sure if id pick Byrne for MOM, would go for Tope myself.

Well that was a good first half!! Keep away snow you shit! More goals in this game yet. If Northampton come out all guns blazing second half, Tope and Nepos pace on the counter should cause havoc. As pointed out already they dont look up for it at all, Northampton that is.

Didnt see the match tonight. What formation did we play? Wss Tope up top? How did Flynn fit in and how did he get on? If the majority thinks he had a good game, can only be a positive.

Was that Fortune? Thought he was excellent. His hold up play and footwork was top notch. Good first touch on him aswell.

Not sure why we are going a tad long and high when slick passing on the deck and balls up to Davies and Doyles feet were working so well previously. Byrne is not always the passing option, a few times today he recieved the ball when crowded and we had other players clearly available. We are playing ourselves into trouble. Have become very slow in and around the attacking third of the pitch.

On todays game, Gardner would sit out. Fane is my MOM, donr his job well so far and is playing well.

How many times has Davies been offside today or given away a stupid foul. Have to say, not impressed by his performance. Seems to have lost some hunger. Gardner has been non existant.

Awful fuckin defending by Dummy, ducked instead of heading the ball. Not winning headers in midfield or up top. Ball in the air alot again today. Wheels starting to bobble a bit.
