Give Menig a run at them for Tope?

Poor first half. No ball retention which we have been very good at. Need a change in formation, tactics. Maybe stick Tope up top with Davies, move Flynn back into a middle 3 and let Byrne do the roaming. This has been the poorest we have been in a long time. Its down to ourselves, nothing that Shrews are doing (they really should be 2 up). Confident we will improve second half.

We have no attacking threat. Byrne seems to be behind Davies with Flynn to Byrnes left and Tope to Byrnes right. Think its like a 4-2-3-1 formation. This clearly is not working. Makes it harder when we are playing long.

We are bypassing midfield where we have ball players and hoofing it to no one. What is the game plan today??

Happy to be corrected if thats the case, only remember the once. He was spraying balls to Dummy fairly well in the first half. Thought second half he was sitting deep and not involved.

Thought Gardner played well today. He passed well, dont think he gave the ball away, maybe once i can remember, worked hard going forward and he tracked back. Thought he was poor vs Plymouth and Fleetwood. Not trying to start an argument, genuinely asking why do you think he was poor today? (Or every week). Granted he was replaced by Byrne, but then again he is no Byrne!

Poor result, but i will take a draw as when we went behind i didnt see us getting back in the game. 2 defeats and a draw over festive period is poor, as i believe we could of picked up at least 7 points. 1 up top doesnt suit us, Doyle will be a massive miss, clincal and knows how to find spaces to score. Holloway played okay but he is no finisher, needs a partner to compliment his game. Only started to attack when we went behind. Byrne may have his flaws but he and Flynn made a difference. Tope has been very poor the last two games he has played. He was outstanding at Doncaster, non existant since. Clarke had a good game as did Bryan and Fane. Hunts fault for goal, nothing you can do about it, poor positioning. B.Rovers got what they came for. Poor side. One shot, one goal. We need to score first at home. Not happy with the change in our playing style. We are clearly more defensive minded and methodical than previously. Our gung ho attacking style although leaving us open was winning us games as teams couldnt cope with it, getting players in the box and bombing forward. We are not pressing as much either as of today. Played as an away side until we went behind. Be an intersting Jan, lets hope its a good one. MOM was Clarke, came back into the side and didnt put a foot wrong.

I actually think that this is the case. Northampton aside, are tactics, formations and tempo have been questionable.

Changes coming from the bench. We seem to be imploding a bit. Flynn and Byrne. We need to get men in the box ffs.

Pretty average first 45 min. We are neat and tidy but cant help but feel we are playing like an away side. 1 up top and only pressing the ball when they come into our half. Definate change in tactics from the free flowing attacking football we have been used to recently. Our front players keep the ball well but we keep going backwards. When we do turn and run at them we look dangerous, Menig just needs his shooting boots. Topes not in the game, Holloway, trying his best. Gardner playing Byrnes role to an extent, only he is working both ways and putting a shift in, think hes plsying well. Fane his usual self, tracking and tackling, if he ever developes a shot!!. B.Rovers have come for a point or to nick something from a set play, have offerd nothing. They score first, think it would be difficult to turn around. We need a goal (obvious), they come out we hit them with pace.

Donth think Gerrard deserves to be dropped, if thats the case. Dont think hes done much wrong. Agree with Byrne. A lot of pace up top/wings, Tope, Menig, Nepo should cause problems. Very attacking line up. Hope we give them a hammering, finish year on a high, 4-1!! Thought we would win today before i seen line up, more confident now, hope Clarke has a good game with no silly mistakes.

That was pretty poor. Huffed and puffed, no end product. Trying to walk through 10 men defending against you like Arsenal is pretty pointless. Won nothing up top today, out hassled and muscled by a side who broke twice and scored twice. Professional job done on us by Fleetwood who are in my opinion a very average side who play to thier strengths. We score first its a different game. Always going to be difficult against a team who play on defence and break, when they go ahead. Fane was top notch and MOM. Bryan is a class above, great free kick- should have been on them more often? Poor festive period again. Bit demoralised with it, hope for good news come Jan. Need to stop this poor form, string a few wins together which at the minute seems easier said than done.

Ffs, two break away goals. Have to say Davies and Holloway have won nothing. They have well and truly done a job on us. Looks like two defeats over Christmas... unsure if loan players are staying. Not looking so bright now is it? Thought we were nailed on for 6 points these last two games.

Difficult first half. They are more than happy to get 10 men behind the ball, defend in numbers and try and hit us on the break. They niggle much like Donny. We have been solid and neat without creating much, Byrne is trying, is he afraid to shoot with his left peg? Davies could of done better with the diving header. Gardner is not having his best game. Even firsr half.

Thought this was very good! Now, if he can just call round to Bryan and Byrnes house.....

Be an interesting line up on Boxing Day. Pray that Doyle and Bryan are back. Need Hunt to start as well along with Tope. Im gutted with todays result because i really believed we pick up 6 points over Xmas. Should of known better eh!! Flynn did okay today, thats about it. Byrne had his worst game for us, McLaughlin is pace with his head down and cant beat a man or cross a ball. Jonny was of the boil today and we basically made Plymouth look a good side. That said if people are ill they get a pass for today. MOM would be Flynn. Passed to peoples feet, tried to let fly a few times, okay game. Need to up thier game for Boxing Day. We move on. If there is a genuine illness then we can hide behind that for an excuse. Dont blame the players today so much because our formation/shape in the first half was terrible, down to the manager. If we start with the side that started the second half may well have been a different score today. Havent been this annoyed since we threw away lead at MK Dons. Believed until team sheets were released that we would win this by 2 or 3.

This game should now be 3-3, missed 2 sitters. Give keeper his dues for first save but Holloway misses from 3 yrds out and now its fucking 4-1. Fukin shambles today.

Ffs... twas a good header that. Still goals in this for us. If they would quicken it up, play down the flanks and whip balls in. On comes Tope.
