It's no longer debate worthy. Just need to sort the practicalities out. Unsworth needs to be honest with himself and recognise he's not cut out for it.

"We're not winning enough games to appease the fans...". A little passive aggressive. We're not winning enough games.

The plan was commendable. Give time to a bloke to do a full rebuild. There was logic and it's a shame it hasn't worked. Unfortunately, they've backed the wrong horse. It's time to cut our losses.

l don't like scores like these. fair play to Dorking and their situation, and l'll have a beer with Mark, but 8-0 tells us nothing. lets wipe this and focus on [our next opponent]
And we should've been 4 up before conceding the 8.

It was a bit better. It still wasn't good enough. We'll win a few and lose a few. Pretty much how I'm resigned to it going with the management team in place.

So no “don’t know/undecided “ option?
With the question being 'do you think...", I'd be reading in between the lines of any 'don't know' responses.
There are no certainties but people must be swayed one way or the other.

Don't know but wouldn't sack him now.
That's a no

I've not really spoken to anyone who thinks he's the man to take us forward... Even those who don't want him sacked because it's too early.
The rationale for not sacking seems to be based on hope.

A poor result, tough one on Unsy as the red has killed it but again we don’t look solid and I do t think it’s asking too much for us to shut them out even a player light at home. Overall I could cope with us being where we are with the results if we looked like a good side and had been unlucky, but we haven’t. We don’t score that many, we can’t keep clean sheets, the footy is rank and there is very little improvement. Hopefully the board act this week

Its baffling that people think Frank is making the call on "shifting players out before bringing any in"
Surely this is actually a Darren Royle call, who will be working to a pre-approved budget.
Not really. It's his money.

If you think it... then it's right for you. No one cares if a person only thinks it.
Sure I'm not alone. He's seen his arse because a few geeks have sang a song about him on a train and then proceeded to call anyone who questions Unsworth a "fucking dick" or something along those lines.
His cause is convoluted. All a bit childish.

It's comical, anyone who sits above the parapet on any platform gets slatted. It appears they are fair game and anything is OK to say about them. Yet when they fight back they are bang out of order.
That's not aimed at anyone in particular, it happens time and time again.
What about if you think they're both dicks?

lve not listened to his interviews for a while but lve just listened to his post chesterfield 'we were brilliant' and he's summed himself up perfectly there!!!!
in terms of a gameplan we were brilliant. in terms of pissing people off, its perfect bc they will hear 'brilliant' and remember it looking turd. need some wins now.
It was a great way of putting across his tactical prowess. I disagreed. We were effective at reducing the scoreline... We were very lucky to get a point.

Bit embarrassing that to be honest, I know it's Matt's platform but calling out fans like that and almost ridiculing some will just add flames to the fire in my opinion, Unsworth splits opinion and just because a fan wants him out it doesn't mean they need therapy or don't understand the game.

Matt's taken it far too personally about some numpties singing a song about him on a train. Completely inappropriate to start calling anyone who questions Unsworth 'a prick'.
We're clearly a divisive fan base but some of his comments are hardly helping the cause.

Selective .
Several more comments on Latics playing well in containing Chesterfield, that Oldham didn’t give them hardly any chances, and a draw was fair result.
A point was a good result. We didn't play well.

Watch this and tell me if you still think it's a foul on Hogan.

I would say its not as clear cut as I thought it was.
I couldn't see the touch but Hogan's reaction has convinced me there must've been some contact.

I normally don’t care much about what gets said in interviews but I liked this one. Purely for the reason that he confidently stuck up for himself and his players.
Confidently telling the fans we won't go up automatically. Great stuff.

What's happening to us !
We draw 1-1 at the BOOKIES favourite for the League
Arguably our two best midfielders are out injured
Shamefully, Frank had to put up with fan anger, the wonderful man who saved our club
HATE for the Manager pouring out from the stands and all over Social Media
An extract from a post from a Chesterfield supporter:
"Thought Oldham looked okay and really well organised at the back and basically stopped us playing most of the game. Although we had most of the possession we didn't really create that many clear chances so a draw was a fair result in the end
I suspect you've had to shift through a lot of comments to find something that ties in with your narrative. We were shit.

Just seen the goal and I have to say Norwood is massively out of order and partly responsible for the chaos there. He has 1400 Latics fans right in front of him but elects to run over to the Chesterfield fans and take the piss!
If he had just run in to our end and celebrated with our fans it would (probably) have stayed there with only a few on the pitch around him
Proper dickhead behaviour tbh
They'd been calling him a fat bastard for 90 minutes. He said after the game that he shouldn't have gone that way but that pitch invasion was always going to happen regardless. He didn't do much else other than the "what you saying now" stare.
It was unnecessary and unwarranted for an equaliser. Been a bit of a fixture there over the years and, with it being on TV, there was always going to be a show put on with a 96th minute equaliser.

Taking this shit far too seriously if you're sending reports about people and blocking them. Jeez.
