  1. Correct on the CVA. The fact that our major creditor is Brian Kennedy who is 100% behind what we were trying to do might be of some help. Usually it's the taxman who is the no1 player. 75% of creditors have to agree to the CVA I guess it largely depends on who the other creditors are. Utterly wrong on the rest I'm afraid. In another 36 hours we'd have had new owners and no admin. Fact.
  2. Depressing day yesterday obviously. We will come out of Admin soon(ish) with new majority owners in place. The irony of all this is that the creditor who petitioned for admin had been told that very morning that they were to be paid in full on Monday. A deal had virtually been agreed for a takeover. Nonetheless they went ahead with admin anyway. Bonkers. They'll now get less than the money they were owed and were to be paid on Monday.
  3. The only bit I disagree with there is that, for me, he looks much better with a partner up front. He sometimes struggles to get involved in the second phase when he's up there on his tod. When someone is working up there with him he's much more effective.
  4. It was a bloody cracker as well. To be fair he's done pretty well for us since he came to EP.
  5. He did Ok did the lad, the quotes above are reasonably accurate. He won't have a bigger battle than he did against those bunch of time wasting kn*bs. MK Dons were nowt special, tough and physical with a plenty of speed on the break, but boy, talk about cynical. We were a poor referreeing decision away from an equaliser which would have got us back on terms at a time when we were getting on top.
  6. Eek, sounds like a clone of our current injury prone, incumbent, Mr McNeil.
  7. McNulty isn't in our top 6 best players IMO and he's been bloofy awful in the last 5 or 6 games. He was out of contract at the end of the year so he really had to go with that sort of money on the table.
  8. He's a very good footballer. Quite slight, won't win anything in the air, but a lovely passer of the ball. If he had another yard of pace he'd be a Championship footballer by now.
  9. On loan until the end of the season. Go on then, give us the low down........*winces*
  10. As an outsider, given your league position, and being in with a shout of auto promotion with 20ish games left, how could anyone want Sheridan out ?
  11. The pitch IS atrocious, but no bobble for the first goal. It bounced perfectly normally, it was just an airshot from Broadhurst.
  12. I did. We started that game well and created chances but took our foot off the pedal after going a goal up and suffered for it. On saturday we never got going and defended awfully. It was 10 times worse then Gillingham.
  13. On the day, yes, unquestionably. Just as we were better than you in the first fixture. Didn't think either needed saying really.
  14. I'm not sure what you'll make of it if I tell you that Saturday was probably our worst performance of the season by some way. The guile is there alright, we just didn't get the ball in enough dangerous areas for it to show. We have a catalogue of injuries up front and I'll certainly agree that a striker is very much required. TBH, we couldn't handle your fast start, we've got a hell of a lof of kids in that team (ave age 21 and down further after 26 yr old Baker went off after 20 mins!) and they struggled with that. They were easily rattled, probably for the first time this season, and they never really got their composure back. Ces't le vie, hopefully they'll learn from it.
  15. All is revealed. Pilks has gone to Huddersfield who have also signed Lionel Ainsworth. I think we'd both better be looking over our shoulders at them. A real threat for the play offs now.
  16. We're flogging Pilkington today. It's all done and dusted and will be unveiled this afternoon. Therefore he won't be playing for us tomorrow.
  17. As far as that report goes it's lazy bollocks plucking a figure out of thin air. Pilko isn't worth £1m IMO, he's too inconsistant, but he is young and versatile (plays down both flanks, behind a front man or up front on his own) and has incredible potential.
  18. Yep, for West Brom in a 1-0 defeat. We've had the ability to bring through our youth team lads and break them in gently. 3 or 4 of them are the heart of our team now. TBH it's all about the formation with us, that's what makes us work. 4-3-2-1 and very fluid at that. You can almost take one out and plug another in and, as long as they know their role in the system, we wouldn't miss a heartbeat. For instance an 18yr old lad has just come into the side for the last two games and has looked as good as anyone else. The epitome of what I'm saying can be shown from last Saturday against Southend. We didn't have a single first team forward available through injury. We only had a raw kid on the bench and played a right back come right winger up front in the '1'. We scored 3 and it could have been more.
  19. That might be right although I think we only came up against him a couple of time in our Championship days when he was at West Brom/Coventry. Windass...every time, every club he's played for. Always.
