I don’t get to many matches either,I feel your pain Owll. However, when I get back from a game and Mrs 4oaks asks me about my day I always say I loved it, and I usually say the game was dreadful. The physical action of supporting the team is what I enjoy, the standard of football or style is not really relevant any more. we are very small team in a very poor league, We need to understand that the players are, on the whole , fairly average ( that’s why they play for Oldham) . Themamagement team too are not in the Klopp bracket ( that’s why they manage at league 4 level) but their hearts are in the right place. As long as Bunn et al get the players collecting points and more or less on the right path that’s all I can expect. the other thing that I now understand - but it has taken me years .... the players will never really care as much as me . It’s their job. I go to the football because I love it, it’s a release which I couldn’t live without. I’m can appreciate good football I love watching it too....but I support Oldham !

Just trying to challenge a few people’s views and make them realise that those comments are outdated and unacceptable. If I don’t call them out those views will proliferate and been seen as the norm by the younger generation and then we will get no- where . sometimes a line has to be drawn, if someone says something racist or sexist it’s up to us to say no , think again , just because it’s funny does not mean it’s right.

I’m very worried about the club. The new owner worries me I fear an orient scenario. get the odd old hand,-gerrard? - a young (local ? ) lads in who want to give it a go id rather see that happen than a stream of useless loanees and disappear without a whimper like Hartlepool

I’m even angrier today than yesterday. the team were just not at the races yesterday Edmundson and Hamer excepted they should all leave th3 club with their tails between their legs no heart no passion, no skill, no talent, The level of footballing ability was minimal which you expect at this level but it’s the total lack of passion that does it for me, when you see a crowd like ours it’s not hard to say their aren’t many millionaires it’s takes lots of money, time, effort , planning and fucking passion to go to a game... those players are not worthy of that.
