    The FIFA/ FA corruption stinks and that puts me off the whole thing. I do 'support England ' but that's because I am from the uk and I'd want england to win at tiddly winks, I agree I feel a disconnect with the millionaire players but i feel a similar unhappiness with the cricket at the moment and that hacks me off too!

    In the wake of all the corruption shenanigans going on at FIFA and the suspicion cast over the FA I was thinking.... I can do without the national side, it just messes up the weekend and spoils a good tournament every couple of years!! Discuss

    I've seen Johnson playing for Villa reserves regularly over the past couple of seasons, he's clearly in Villa's good books as a prospect that needs game time. great for us though... he does need a bloody good haircut

    I went to an Aston Villa under21 game against the Greek side Olympiakos last season. They bought a significant group of Ultras they sang bounced and made what might have been a dry evening a real experience. From what I've seen I think the Athleticos are doing a great job and their efforts should be applauded . Let's try some syncro bouncing at Sheffield!!!

    The unbeaten run sounds great thought doesn't it! I think I agree that overall wins matter now more than 'just' remaining unbeaten! It's the 3 points that will keep us up there.... God I'm feeling giddy...

    I've been chatting to a 'friend of Simon' at the station on they way back from the game. she was on her way back to London ..she said he was in for the long hail and was very pleased with progress . I told her to say thank you to Simon!
