  1. I noticed we were getting supporters from as far a field as South Croydon, it's going to get like Old Trafford full of southern glory hunters. That's it, I'm not going anymore.
  2. Good point, I can't really argue with that. Also unfortunately.
  3. Maybe, however his opinions and predictions are pretty realistic...... Unfortunately.
  4. I think the kfc should produce a fyc burger for fans of the great 80's band. Full beef of course.
  5. Hang on a minute Singe, you're thinking like a person with a grasp of business /marketing..... so give them time. An advert has been placed and it was in my paper in Ashton...well done Latics, I reckon by my "back of a fag packet" maths and due to the circulation etc it could well add 500 to 1,000 to the gate dependent on weather etc. Add to that food sales, programmes, returning supporters. etc etc, a good move one would think.........but then again we're bound to get stuffed. And as we all know it's all about what happens on the pitch.
  6. Have you thought about applying for a job in Marketing at the Club?, as they don't appear to be making much of an effort.
  7. Sorry, but £20 to see the mighty Yeovil won't enthuse the Oldham public no matter what position we are in the league. An increase in attendance will take a few weeks at least.
  8. The defending was reminiscent of the amateur teams who featured on the Granada football shows' "Team of the Week" slot.
  9. Raising a glass of Lagioisa Merlot a 2008 Italian on offer £3.99 a bottle at Sainsburys, and very nice too. Cheers
  10. All things considered, 3500 is probably quite optimistic.
  11. they train for hours every day, ( think penney has them in mornin and afternoon now? ) then they turn out in almost any conditions to play football As someone posted the above on another thread, it isn't an easy life being a full time pro.
  12. Poor souls, "morning and afternoon". Bet our troops in Afghanistan really feel for them. Pampered prima donas
  13. Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised. The times they are a changing, like it or not.
  14. It could work, I think lower league clubs need to start looking at other ways of finding talent. I think Everton were running a series of trials in the US in a sort of "Football Idol" type contest, not sure how that went, but maybe the days of giving journeymen players one last pay cheque to go through the motions could be coming to an end
  15. I take it your not in the medical profession LL?
  16. Sales and Marketing in general doesn't seem to be a strong point at the Club, and considering it is run by three successful business men I find this quite remarkable.
