  1. You could suggest I am reading too much into this but after seeing the tactics board on 92live this morning I am assuming we will line up with the 442 diamond on Saturday. Here is what I think DK will go with: Cornell B.Wilson J.Wilson Burn Mills Kelly Jones Winchester Green Forte Poleon Subs: Coleman Brown Croft Turner Murphy Cassidy Dieng
  2. what would YOUR starting line up be? --------------------Coleman-------------------- Brown ------Dieng -------/Wilson ---mills-- ---------------Kelly --------jones ---------- Croft ------------------------------------forte --- -------------------- Winchester --------------- ------------------------Cassidy---------------- sounds negative but I'd try nick a point. Can't see us being capable of doing anything more.
  3. I don't know where it is from either. However, the majority of these kind of rumours have some kind of substance.
  4. Didn't know we conceded a penalty? All defenders concede fouls including Wilson and brown.... my opinion is that Brown is better,
  5. Rochdale away was mentioned to me ....how he dominated Centre Mid with Kelly........I have to agree, I thought he was outstanding that Day. If remember rightly he played CM when on trial last year and impressed - a lack of coaching has been mentioned....
  6. I believe the coaching staff see him as a centre midfielder....
  7. Square pegs round holes in a 4-4-2 with them 3 ......unless its a diamond
  8. I've heard the same thing.............. regardless to whether or not people think the Kelly out rumors are all tosh or not; it doesn't surface out of thin air and there will be some substance somewhere. Clearly there is some kind of unrest and it doesn't sit to well with me before a ball has even been kicked...
  9. Dieng is a good footballer who, from what I have been told is having a good pre-season, looks sharp in training but needs to stay fit and benefit from proper coaching. The club think highly of him........
  10. With all due respect B.Wilson had a good 45 against conference opposition. He was dreadful against Bolton. Brown on the other hand gave us much more in the 2nd half against Bolton and had a very good game against Blackburn. For me he is the much better option of the 2.
  11. Connor Brown will definitely be our first choice RB. He's really impressed in training as has Dieng and Murphy..... Both look like different players apparently...
  12. Other than Forte that line up lacks some serious pace....Also unless that is a midfield 3 it's square pegs round holes. I don't want to see Jones or Winchester on the wing again
  13. The one thing that really stands out to me is the promise of lots of Pace and the complete lack of seeing this thus far barring a 20 minute spell from Poleon against Bolton. I wont be judging until Walsall away though on this one...
  14. Going off what we have seen and heard from DK and the club who do you think are the " first names on the team sheet" so far.... and will definitely start at Walsall...... I have 5 if they are fit........Kelly, Jones, Croft, Mills and J.Wilson...... I am pretty sure Poleon and Forte will both start too if fit due to their pace alone... The rest I am really unsure of and I suspecting there are a few 50/50 battles that DK is yet to decide on such as : Coleman or Cornell Brown or Wilson Turner or Murphy What do we think?
  15. This is spot on. Murphy also likes to drop deep.
  16. First half was ok - kept the ball well but every pass is extremely safe and players look to me like they don't want to be the one to give the ball away so I don't know if stats are being driven down their throats in terms of keeping your place in the team? Brown and croft linked up very well I thought but it was evident all game that we are lacking some serious pace. For as good as croft is he isn't the quickest and this was demonstrated when he tried to carry the ball on a counter attack through the middle during the first half- however everyone else was just as slow too. The one up top for me is isolating whoever is playing there be it Murphy or Turner- I presume Cassidy will employ this role. Philliskirk played the whole game today and was very poor I thought. When he wasn't giving the Ball away he was invisible and at one point I forgot he was playing. Both trialists aren't good enough and need releasing now. Thought Winchester was quiet again...
  17. He will be CB with Wilson. Consider he is 3 games behind in terms of fitness. He was our strongest player in the 2nd half today.
  18. As above. I'm certain if we thought we could get a return close to that we wouldn't even consider letting him go.
