  1. People need to get a grip and come off the Autistic Spectrum - things change!!! Slavery was once the norm and that was abolished.... Just like the Chaddy being the home section for many years. Whether you like it or disagree with it the club have made a decision and they are not obliged to discuss it with anyone if they wish not too. Have faith
  2. Will we now see the return of the paddock army!!! In the new Broadway stand!!! Make that the singing section if the RRE is family friendly
  3. What's happened to Dieng? Was a regular in our best run of the season. I'd use these last few games to give others a go - kasunga, Dieng, Murphy, Jacobs, bove ..... And I'd now send all the loanees back.
  4. Well not all professionals get it right pal. Take Merson re Townsend for example. I don't know if you are being purposely literate or not re the "10 shirt" - if I remember correctly not all forwards wear the number 9. Not all left wingers wear 11. Just in case you are actually confused I was referring to the number 10 role as in jobs and positioning on the pitch. Maybe that's why we have struggled for the last few months if he is 2nd on the team-sheet! I presume you mean Winchester would be 1st? Wonder where that leaves Kelly, Jones, Forte, Mills and James Wilson if Phili is that high up in the pecking order. All views are my own - so please don't take offence. P.s although I usually agree with you Andy - I would still have D.Johnson in the team ahead of DP any day.
  5. Only just managed to catch up on this thread. I've played the game a long time and at semi pro and scholarship standard. I've never come across many players in the number 10 role who are in there and credited for their "donkey " work. Strange. I actually think there is a player in there with DP as shown when he signed last season. However, he has been massively out of form and not contributing towards the side in the way he should be IMO.
  6. Uninspiring. Won't sell season tickets with the announcement of mark Yates.
  7. someone please tell me how this lad keeps starting games? He's one of the most innaffective players I've ever watched
  8. what the bloody hell has gone on here? Looks like a Sunday league player! Head is constantly down. Can't pass, can't hold up the ball, doesn't shoot, doesn't chase , DOESNT DO THE DONKEY WORK that people claim he does. Yet... He starts every game! He's awful!
  9. Also had his own soccer school where he coached players who went on to be picked up
  10. Tony Carss would be my choice for the job. A regular at latics and knows the club very well, with a very similar CV to LJ, which Corney likes. Carss has lots of coaching badges and whether you value you them or not no fool can acquire them. He has done a great job at academy/youth level winning cups and reserve team leagues. I really think he would fit the bill. We have a strong tradition at Latics of giving our youth a chance and watching Tony deliver coaching sessions many a time I know he would definitely adopt this policy. His nickname whilst at Latics was Duracell, and watching his teams play all of his players never stop running for him! Duracells blue white army! I'm off to the bookies!
  11. Throughout the game Lockwood and Holden were constantly instruction Connor brown to tell James Wilson to wake up, push up, mark his man! In the end Connor said I can't do anymore I've been telling him all game!
  12. Kelly was poor I thought. Was impressed with Dieng but that shower of :censored:e James Wilson next to him didn't help. Clearly has his eye on a move in the summer. Been rubbish for months now
  13. He's garbage. Made of biscuits, is always on the periphery and offers nothing.
  14. Not on a high horse. Just giving anyone the info from someone who was at the match. Calm down
  15. One nil down and chasing a game So you swap a left back for a left back, who may I add was one of our better players. Brown was the scapegoat. If he wanted mills on then Wilson should have made way - he was having a mare and was on a yellow.
  16. I was there. Wilson was awful. Brown was decent and the scapegoat for mills - who was even worse than Wilson ehen he came on. Poleon was better than forte too. Subs were predictable - Johnson has his lads and it doesn't matter how the others play.
  17. Brown for mills? Why? Brown was doing ok and mills was awful! Made us a ticking time bomb! Wilkos did ok. Other than them 2 thw rest awful.
