  1. Kenny Clements and Paul Futcher........ Jobson and Redmond..............Warhurst and Barrett..................Hall, Hill and Haining , oh what id give to see us with any players of that quality again at BP .
  2. seen some of the pics on Facebook, you lot are living legends....keep up the good work
  3. probably still do a job for a side such as ours, not sure what the other doom and gloom merchants on this board will think tho.....personally i think we need a different kind of player to go with Pawel Abbott, more in the mould of a Roger Palmer type.
  4. absolutely mint, i reckon that this lad could be the missing link ...we all know the team has struggled in midfield for a few seasons but i have a feeling that things may change. well done Dave Penney.
  5. lets hops so......young and promising player with stacks of potential.
  6. Just spotted on 606 that some Bratford fans think that there is a possibility that Latics boss DP could be interested in bringing Joe Collbeck here, i may have missed something but i thought he had already signed a new contract, or am i just reading an old post? Feel free to ignore or delete this post if thats the case .
  7. Shame to see Mark go, was our most consistent performer imo over the last 2 seasons, chipped in with some good goals on the way, hope he gets the deal he is looking for, just dont want him to come back to BP and turn us over... Good Luck Mark !!!
  8. disagree about the ability to play at a higher level, he found it tough at the donkey lashers and was put on the bench more than he would have liked, i will however agree about chanting his name at every opportunity, what i didnt know at the time were his reasons for pulling on the blue and white shirt, he was towards the end, lazy, smug and a bit of a fool, yes he scored goals but isnt that you would expect off a player that has brought in £8 million in transfer fees? I know there is no loyalty left in football these days, but.......... he was heading no-where fast until we took a gamble, and it was a gamble on him, I personally and foolishly thought he would have repaid that faith by signing another contract back in January, i will be surprised if Leicester sign him, i think he will end up back in this league with us, cant imagine the reception he would get back here though..... Finally , the game of football is greater than any player, we have fond memories of Hughsey and il cherish them, he unfortunately left the club under a cloud of controversy and brought this clubs promotion charge to a grinding halt...Cheers Lee
  9. who cares, no longer a latic !! hope he finds it difficult wherever it is, felt he took the club for fools, used us to help him and im sure it should have been him helping the club.
  10. my son has L4 TYX on his astra, looks good cos he has a club badge sticker on the rear windscreen....
  11. Had my car broke into there a few years ago now, there were four cars done at the same time, i was fortunate, nothing was stolen, the car next to me had been trashed, it was after a tuesday night game against Forest , Taylors debut game, i was fuming, i had a 100 mile journey home to make in the freezing cold, i reported it to the cops, they didnt want to know basically.....i had the screwdriver the scrotes had used to break in, when i mentioned it to Mr Plod he wasnt bothered, said oh they would be wearing gloves and there will be no prints on it, he was probably right, but still he could have tried. i still have the offending item, if i meet the perpetrator of the affore mentioned crime, he can have it back, sideways up his sphincter. Im sure it cant be too difficult for the police to patrol an area which they know to be a crime hot spot, maybe the criminal intelligence squad are trying to work out a strategy to resolve the situation.....ha ha.....my a@#e
  12. so many times this season, we score the first goal and just can not find the second goal, scoring the second always tears the heart and fight out of an opposing team away from home, we have had numerous games where we havent capitalised on our possession......... hopefully we can step up a gear and start finishing teams off.....well done to the lads last night tho, there was some very encouraging play throughout the game
  13. Well from my seat in the Rocky road end, i personally think Hazell had a decent game, he has been one of, or if not, the best signing at Boundary Park for quite a few years, very rarely puts a foot wrong, a no nonsense player and our team would suffer if he doesnt play. Its also about time the fans of this club stopped slating our own players, Eardley didnt do much wrong last night and I think he is a young man who could go on to better things, one numpty behind me had a go at him in the second half, when Eardley had just sprinted 20 yards down the right wing to meet a pass, as he got there, the defender flew in and wiped him out........." Eardley youre a joke" came the response from the afore mentioned numpty......lets just enjoy our team and realise we are near the top and not the bottom...... Support your team, dont slate em...
