  1. The old expression "Every cloud has a silver lining" comes to mind. If it wasn't for those dark days, we would never have had the pleasure to take a new hero to our hearts - Ernie Cooksey!!
  2. By November they will all have played cack, and we will be screaming for them to get sent to Stalybridge.
  3. I voted for Ronald because, as I was only about 7 or 8 when Sharp was the gaffer, I didn't really understand football all that much (Some would say i still don't). Although I do remember going to Latics and then my dad slagging him off in the car on the journey home. I reckon there is only one way to resolve this arguement anyway............. FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!!
  4. Name: Age: What got you hooked? Cocaine Your team Qs. Best player: Mark Allott Team to beat: Walsall! Your manager, in a word: Scruffy Predictions. Who's going up? Huddersfield and Posh And down? Luke McCormick.

  6. Did he not get sent off against us at Roots Hall last year?
  7. We all dream of a team of Johnny Eyre's! Aaaaaaat Number One Is Johnny Eyre At Number Twooo is Johnny Eyre Etc Etc
  8. I've been expecting this for months, but even now it's come as a shock. Let's hope Oldham, Dale and Grays all win their respective leagues for the great man!
  9. This COULD end up being the best draw we could have possibly been given, or it could be the worst by a wide margin for me if we lose. My girlfriend and her best friend are both staunch Rochdale fans, and I could not live with the shame if we lost to them in a competitive match. Those of you from jk latics will remember my furious rant after we lost to them in the friendly last season. Well, it will be ten times worse if we lose this one.
  10. A friend of mine (Leachy) cut short his holiday in Portugal, where he was visiting his parents, earlier this year to come back and watch us at Everton.
  11. I didn't realise they sung last year. Or the year before. Or the year before that. Or the year before that. And so on..
  12. Been To... Manchester United - Super Sean's Screamer Arsenal - Sharpy's Free Kick Chelsea - Won 1-0 I think. Liverpool - Seem to recall being 1-0 up with about 2 mins remaining, and still lost. Everton - This Season Villa - Went when Rick Holden scored a free kick. Blackburn - Cup when we lost 2-0 Man City - Almost every week, when it doesnt clash with Latics. West Ham - Carlooooo Spurs - Battered 5-0 Newcastle - In the cup, battered them. Lost 1-0 to a pen. Wigan - Numerous Times. Bolton - Went to Burnden watching Latics, been to Reebok for Bolton v Liverpool on 02, Ivan Campo's debut. Reading - 5-0. What a waste of petrol. Derby - The 2-1 cup game. West Brom - Drew 1-1. I think Barlow headed for us. Stoke - Lots of times, including when G Kelly won the shootout for us. Hull - Went to Boothery when we beat them in the cup, Sheridan outstanding free kick. Went to KC for lethargic 2-0 defeat. Bristol C - 5-1 on a Tuesday. Talbot last game. Wolves - Cup last year and a few years back Ormonroyd scored in a 1-0 win. Sheff Utd - Drew 2 each. Rickers bagged a peach. Plymouth - Dave Beharall brace. Cardiff - Cup game when we are a division higher than them. Lost 1-0. Burnley - Twice. Drew 0-0 and lost 3-0. QPR - Playoffs. 14. I agree with Posh being there, think they will take the league by storm. Cant see MK doing a lot though.
  15. Whilst everyone is on the subject of Dale, I have it on extremely good authority that they are changing the name of the ground next season.
  16. It is common knowledge on here that I have a soft spot for Man City. However, two other teams I really have taken a shine to are Fulham and Zenit St Petersburg. I was at the City- Fulham game a few weeks back and was really impressed with the way they played the game, despite being 2 down, and the passion of the fans. There were only about 1,000 of them, but they made so much more noise than the 43,000 City fans. I was also at the Uefa Cup final the other day, in the middle of all the Zenit fans. They were a right friendly bunch, and also extremely passionate about their football, with some good players to match, notably Arshavin.
  17. Irwin is out. The team that packed behind the goals last year was Motherwell, we should certainly do something like that this year.
  18. You are having a laugh aren't you Nes? I nominate that post as Most Ridiculous Post Ever Seen on Any Website In The World. Ever.
  19. Any chance of them clips going on the web?
  20. Lets not forget the Scunthorpe goal either!!
