Many clubs have hit financial trouble and have found a saviour to save them from the brink. The TTA did exactly this for us when they arrived but things have taken a serious turn for the worst in the past 12 months or so. I never thought I would think this but it is not impossible for us to end up like Oldham rugby who have never recovered from the sale of watersheddings. The next month is crucial for two reasons, one to get some much needed points and two the need to have some confidence when we play some tough away games.

Positves = Big fat zero Negatives We out hoofed Tranmere at times, half the team looked like they could not care less about getting a result in what might turn out to have been a crucial game in our season. Players moved into numerous positons during the night and then to cap it all Penney's aftermatch BS just adds insult to injury. Dave if I had known you where going to use this game for a bit of a kick about then I would not have bothered doing the 60 mile round trip to come and support you. We have massive problems here and the crap about Pav and Taylor solving our goal problems is unreal, this team is packed with dull unispiring players who cannot setup our forward line on a regular basis. Adding Goodwin might make us stronger when it comes to defending but for god's sake man we want to see some action at the other end of the pitch.

Yes the centre half is a decent idea but how long did it take him to bring cover in for that area ? Maybe a bit of forward planing is needed from Penney because like others have stated he should be looking for players all the time to make the squad better and not just look when the transfer window opens.

I am all for giving Penney time but his latest dealings in the transfer market do not address out problems, we know it and now he has virtually admitted it himself. How the hell can he expect Pav and Taylor to instantly give him back the cutting edge he talks about when they have been on the sidelines for weeks ? He knows its to early for Pav to be playing 90 minutes so he needs to get a striker in this week, if he doesnt then he is failing in his job.

The issue of access to the shop has been brought up in the past and the cost of a ramp etc was said to be to high for work to be carried out. No idea if they have a temp ramp now but in years gone by the did not.

That slogan is to much like we are Leeds for me. And while they are modernising the place they might want to get some disabled access to the shop instead of wheelchair users having to shop from the footpath !!

Wayne Harrison and he did look decent in his short time with Latics. Injuries wrecked his chances in a big way at Liverpool.

I think we need promotion out of this division and then a side that could compete in the championship to gets the crowds back. We have stagnated in this division for so many years that many fans have thrown the towel in and the odd decent run of form is not going to bring them back.

The thing is under that slow start with Shez we played some really attractive football but did not get the breaks, I dont think you can say that about this season can you ?

Complete rubbish, get a grip before you post tripe like this. What is the point in having a football club if your only option to watch them is involves you travelling up and down the country ? I have done the away game stint but now I only go to homes games so your idea just ends my association with the club I have supported for the best part of 30 years. Oh and your ppv channel would cost god knows how much to set up and going off current form do you honestly think we would have punters falling over themselves to pay for what is on show ?

The start to the season has been rank and this has just made the board boil over at the moment. If we can get some form going over the next month or Two things will be a lot better around here.

Peter Jackson got the boot from Lincoln with their chairman stating that the club had not moved forward in the past 12 months. Penney will easily last 12 months or more unless we are really in danger of being relegated. I hope for one that he succeeds because we must have payed a fortune over the years to sacked managers and their staff.

The thing with Brill that I am struggling to accept is the way he sets himself up for freekicks. Made a right townhalls for one of Swindons goals and then does a rerun of it again tonight.

During the Summer we had a big clear out of players who didnt really seem to care about the club and putting a good shift in to earn their wage. Now it looks like we have a similar situation again where very few players are coming out of the games with much credit. Are we just unlucky with out signings or is this just a reflection on todays pro footballers ?

Even the "Come on Oldham" chant has bit the dust these days. Bloody hell everytime we got a corner you would get at least a few fans giving it the chant but a serious dose of apathy is doing the rounds at the moment.

Win a few games at home and it will ease the pain of going to BP. At the moment I am not getting much enjoyment at all bar the odd nice flick from Pav and a few runs or shots here and there. No need to panic at the moment in my mind but I cannot see us getting anywhere near the playoffs this year and the current season is all about building up for next year.

I agree with your comments about Abbott and Blackman, until we get a supply of crosses or good quality through balls for them to work with we are going to struggle to score many goals. I am praying that the new fella from Bradford can get some crosses in because if he is not the answer I can only see us extending our record breaking winless streak at home

Ideally I would drop Taylor because his form is nothing like it can be and we are constantly told he is carrying an injury. However Penney might feel that he has no other option for Taylors position ? With regards to a price tag I think we really should be asking for a million but if Leeds do come knocking then maybe we would accept £750000 plus addons that would bump up the price if and when Leeds finally get out of this division.

Things will seem bad until we get some home wins under out belt its as simple as that. Going through a bad spell of home form like we have makes people more inclined to snipe at anything and everything. Lets give is a few months before we really start saying that Penney etc are doing a bad job.

I talked a couple of mates into going yesterday and you can bet your life that they will be in no rush to go and pay £20 to watch what was served up yesterday. Yes we had the better chances against Swindon but it was a case of one chance and then you had to wait about 15 minutes or so for anything else to happen that was remotely exciting. I am not sure if prices were even lower that people would come back and support us because at the moment the football is bloody boring to watch!

One other problem is the home fans have been starved of anything decent for months. The last months of Sheridans reign were horrendous and some seem to be thinking that a draw against Stockport and then throwing a win away against Swindon is not acceptable. There are things that need sorting and the keeper and CB issues will bite DP on the backside if he doesnt get something sorted out soon, but I really do think we need to give this side at least 3 months before we can really start to form a reasonable opinion on what this season holds for us.

I was told the same story that his back had gone and it was 2-4 months out. The info was from a fat bloke eating a pie so the evidence is overwhelming
