  1. That's brilliant. It beats the great escape anyway...
  2. I think it's forcive habit more than anything, once you get used to singing something you carry on singing it. The one that makes me laugh is when people sing "Up the football here we go."
  3. I don't know why you feel the need to waste your time writing a reply, because i'm not going to waste my time reading it. I've already said it's my opinion, and that's that. So you can stop spouting your drivel now. "Trying to impress people blah blah" I come up with a decent argument so you feel the need to try and belittle me, you're embarrasing...
  4. It's a foreign trait, the same as flags, banners and flares. If we're going to have a drum, why not have those other things as well? English clubs have never picked up these traits, and that's what makes the atmosphere at British grounds unique. The songs are witty and original, rather than just 'der der der der der OLDHAM!', which is bland and boring.
  5. That's a good enough excuse for anyone to start a riot. We should try it at BP the next time they run out of pies at half time...
  6. Yep, I signed on an internet forum to impress people I'm not complaining at all, i'm stating my opinion. And that opinion is, there's no room for drums at football games. Simple, init? Why you think everybody under 20 should love the drum and encourage turning us into a happy clappy club like Doncaster is beyond me...
  7. So because i'm under 20 I can't be a proper football fan? I should spend the whole 90 minutes staring at the away fans whilst clapping along to the great escape or some other crap? I'll keep that in mind.
  8. Their chairman, I seem to recall. They're an odd bunch them Yorkshire folk to be fair...
  9. I probably would have been had I not only just been born. Mind you, i've always been a mard-arse, so I was probably complaining anyway...
  10. It's from Huddersfield away a couple of seasons back, when their fans took off their shoes in protest, and our lot decided to copy. Hilarious, init?
  11. I don't know who you think I am, but I try to create an atmosphere at games, so you can zip right up. But it's a sad day when the only way of creating a decent atmosphere is banging a drum tunelessly and singing novelty songs. Why don't we start giving out free facepaint and airhorns at home games as well?
  12. And possibly being played out of position. For me, his natural and strongest position is right-back. Maybe if Hughes started playing him there again he'd refind his form and take his price tag up a bit...
  13. Yep, people like me are constantly telling people to shut up So you're telling me your happy to sing embarrasing, tinpot songs like the great escape? Like Senor Coconut said, we coped fine for the last 100 years without a drum, so there's no need for one now... Edit: And we're not laughed at for our 'dire atmosphere'. We're laughed at for having a drum, as most real football fans are against drums at football matches.
  14. It ruins any atmosphere that is created. We're slowly turning into a club with happy clappy plastic support like Donny and Blackpool, we shouldn't need a drum to create a decent atmosphere.
  15. If you're referring to me personally, I don't care. Scottish football is awful, I just like to check how former players are doing every once in a while.
  16. Just checked, it was his fourth league goal. Honestly, I could do a better job then some of these clowns
  17. I thought we already had Joey Barton? He played on the right wing a couple of weeks ago didn't he?
  18. It was at least his fourth goal of the season wasn't it? I'm sure it wasn't his first anyway...
  19. You know what, everyone forms their own opinion. Personally, I don't rate the guy at all. I think he looks dopey on the ball, he's got no strength, he's awful in the air, and he just doesn't look like scoring. As I say, i'd personally have Davies or Allesandra in the starting line-up before him.
  20. I wouldn't really call doing a few step-overs and looking generally disinterested a decent contribution to be honest. I'd play Davies and Alessandra over him anyday.
  21. Last I heard Windass was in talks with Ipswich? Seemed a bit of an odd one to me like. And i'm chuffed Byfield's gone. Absolute waste of space.
  22. Drive him? I'll carry him on me shoulders if that what it takes to get rid of him...
  23. We won't find a better striker than him who will be willing to come. So yes, I am bothered.
