  1. Thought it was done with a green crayon? Don't forget to drink a gallon of Sunny D for that "hyper 5 year old" effect!
  2. Normally don't mind flappage but not in mi eye-ball........
  3. I would be honoured to have it done by the original "artiste"!
  4. The procedure mi mate had done involved a scalpel being used to cut a "flap" in yer eye-ball which is "folded" back so that the laser can be used on the retina, before putting the flap back in place. Not for me that one!
  5. Think I might have that tattooed on mi arm!
  6. Still think that owl looks like it's been drawn by a 5 year old with a crayon, having drunk too much Sunny D!
  7. A mate of mine had it done and was fine afterwards, but his missus did at the same time and still wears glasses even now. Not sure of the % success rate overall though. From what I understand, it isn't a perfect science and the level of the results varies from patient to patient. Some end up with perfect 20-20 vision but some definitely don't. I'll stick to contacts........I can't imagine what it's like having a scalpel shoved in yer eyeball.
  8. Bob, Don't know the Matsui brand specifically but.... Hopefully it will be a simple drag and drop jobby. In other words, connect the player to your PC (you should have received a cable of some sorts, or maybe it has a USB plug built into the player which you plug into a USB port). Once connected, go into Windows Explorer and you should see the player identified as an external hard disk drive which you can open-up in Explorer. Then, find where you store your MP3 tracks on your hard drive, highlight the ones you want on your MP3 player, right-click, pick Copy, and then right-click Paste in the folder for your MP3 player in Explorer. The MP3 data should then copy onto your MP3 player ready to be played as you wish.
  9. You're a brave man making that statement now. I'm not convinced any more to be honest, for all the reasons you put in your post....our lack of
  10. Agreed, a rubbish Easter for us without doubt. We lack the killer touch we had earlier in the season and I fear we will look back on the last few games, the last 2 in particular, and think about what might have been. I'm not convinced we'll stay in the play-off places now and, even if we do, I'm not convinced that we will do well in them. The teams around us seem to have a bit more grit and determination at the right times, Tics seem to be missing something at the mo.
  11. Absolutely, what's wrong with the Queen's English! Time for tiffin!
  12. A game of two halves if ever there was one. We outplayed them quite convincingly in the first half and were deservedly ahead at half time, and really should have had more with the amount of the ball we had. I thought Udders were poor throughout and were made to look more effective by a strange display by the Tics in the second half. We were pretty lacklustre after the break but still looked the most likely to score, with a Paul Warne one-on-one with the keeper particularly memorable which he really should have put away. Glombard came on for Taylor in the 73rd minute and looked quite bright, with Warne moving to the right wing to accommodate him. Taylor had a blinding first half but was a nonentity in the second and was rightly subbed. The Beckett equaliser looked like rubbish defending from the Chaddy End but I'll wait and see the goal on TV tomorrow before I make my mind up. Udders did have a better second half and they would probably feel it was a fair result. I think we should have won, simple as. Finally, I think this will be remembered as our last chance to nick an auto spot. Forest lost, Brizzle drew with Swansea, and the Lashers won and are now level on points with us, although our goal difference keeps us in 4th spot.
  13. Aye, square top with a moulded funnel type thing for yer straw. Needed a hammer drill to get through it!!
  14. Monster Munch! They used to be so big, I used to get lockjaw trying to open mi gob enough to get one of them in! And they were made from real monsters, especially the pickled onion flavour!
  15. 4 crisps doesn't even make a decent gobfull!!!!!!
  16. Absolutely! Don't get me started on crisps! Crisps used to be a meal in their own right....now? 24g of crisps in a packet! Not even enuff to make a decent crisp butty!!!
  17. Nah, they've deffo got smaller, along with Wagon Wheels which used to be big enough to use on an actual wagon, and Curly Wurlies that were so big you could use them as ladders. You'll be telling me Mars Bars are as big as they used to be!!!
  18. Didn't go to that one, but did go to the Saturday Club at the Bury Odeon....... Now a poxy night-club full of underrage drinkers on E...... 10p to get in 20p for a carton of Kiora with a moulded plastic top which used to bend yer straw when you tried to stick it on Flash Gordon and plastic rockets on clearly-visible strings Dodgy British films from the Children's Film Foundation A few crap cartoons Used to treat misself every now and then to a Cornetto, when they used to be so big you needed 2 hands to hold em, rather than 2 fingers like today
  19. Reminds me of The Onion Radio News, a daily podcast which is normally very funny. Recommended if you are "podcast" inclined.
  20. Warne for me too. Gives everything in every game he plays and is a right royal pain in the 'arris to the opposing defenders. I think he is a major reason why Ports has come on leaps and bounds this season too, pulling defenders around and giving Ports space to do the biz. Taylor is a good shout but still often lacks the killer pass/final ball to capitalise on his wing-play. He'll get better with age though and will be a force to be reckoned with in 2-3 years time.
  21. Fair do's really. At least those ST holders can't complain of being uninformed, but I'm sure they will anyway. This is Latics after all!
  22. I can sum it up in 1 word..... ARROGANCE ......from all involved.
  23. .....but there is ME if you look close enough. (Copyright 2001 : David Brent)
