  1. Trialist scores, top corner. Sign him up!
  2. Klok, Woodland, Mckay and second trialist on. 4-4-2 now.
  3. Trialist that is starting is different to the one from Saturday.
  4. I think Wilson was against Huddersfield but probably because he was most experienced
  5. Oldham Athletic AFC ‏@OfficialOAFC 1m1 minute ago #OAFC TEAM NEWS: Ripley, Law, Reckord, Wilson, Burgess, Clarke, Flynn, Banks, Trialist, Cassidy, Erwin. Oldham Athletic AFC ‏@OfficialOAFC 1m1 minute ago #OAFC SUBS: Kettings, Klok, Mckay, Winchester, Edmundson, Brown, Mantack, Stott, Woodland, Croft, Trialist. Two trialists. Presuming the one starting is the one who played against Huddersfield? No Byrnes or Knight.
  6. Are they? Wiki has it down as Nathan and Tom.
  7. Croft and Winchester both played CM against Huddersfield. Maybe one or two trialist again tonight?
  8. I'd add another LB to the squad aswell. Unless Robinson is happy to have Wilson cover there if needed.
  9. Clarke, Burgess, Reckord, Banks, Woodland, Erwin all 6ft plus signings. Add to that Edmundson, Stott, Knight and Cassidy all being 6ft+. Tallest team we've had recently?
  10. At least we can't complain that we are a small team this year!
  11. Think so, plays for PNE so might be playing tonight.
  12. We had Nathan Clarke, no relation though.

  14. But a good deal for a buyer is poor deal for TTA, so we'll likely be stuck with them for the foreseeable as they have no immediate need to sell. Any boycott will just further harm the club. The group is right in wanting answers for the financial arrangments between OAFC, OEC and Brassbank for what goes where etc. This. One way or another they will get their money back. Did they really have an option but to run over budget at the start? They still had to pay contracts from the previous regime, IIRC some players such as Appleby were on £3500 at the time. I think it was reported that Moore left us losing £50,000 a week? As much as we would like them to write off the football losses, they won't because they know they can get their money back. If there was another major recession such as when Blitz and Gazal left the club in 2010 then maybe they would write off the losses if they needed to sell quickly.
  15. Club is worth barely anything. They'll be looking to get back what they've invested + money for the land. I've heard £8m previously, which was about 4/5 years ago. Probably be looking £10m+ now.
  16. They could fold OAFC tomorrow if they wanted to and get their investment back. Clearly there are questions that need to be asked, both over the mismanagement of the club and regarding the financial deals between OAFC, OEC and Brassbank. But our current deal is the best we are going to get for a while, as L&E says above it is currently difficult to succeed with them but harder to thrive without them. Unless you know someone happy to chuck away £10m...
  17. Possibly but from what I've read Knight and Byrnes are wingers and he brought them on upfront initially rather than on the wing. Although that could have been because we only had one striker on the bench.
  18. Why should they be willing to make a loss? They can, and probably will eventually make there money back one way or another. As fans, we might not like it that people are putting money above the club. But TTA aren't fans, or at least not to same extent. They invested money and want at least the invested amount back eventually which is fair enough.
  19. He was alright. Put in a few good tackles, needs to work on positional sense of a CM though. 3-5-2/5-3-2 whichever way you want to look at it. Switched to 4-4-2 for last 5/10 minutes. If we are going to play with the back 3/5 then the outer 2 of the 3 CB's need to be players comfortable moving out to full back so the wing-backs can actually attack. The midfield 3 will need work aswell, they all pressed at times and Huddersfield was able to walk through the 3 of them. Based on the players contracted, the midfield 3 might need to be Klok, Woodland and then one of Winchester/Flynn as the more attacking one. However, Croft was probably the best of the midfielders we had on the pitch yesterday.
  20. Some were wasted. But others, especially free-kicks looked like we had more of a plan rather than a free for all. And we cleared the first man!
  21. The second bullet point on 'What can we do?' is just asking for trouble. Arrived at BP about 2.45 and didn't see any boycott or these letters.
  22. Surprised at the Reckord comments. Thought he looked lost at LWB and panicked when on the ball. We pressed quite well and generally the defence/midfield pushed up quickly but at times everyone was dropping quite deep. Croft was our best player, look like we might be a threat at set plays for once. Cassidy looked better than last season, appeared to be quicker aswell.
