  1. We should go non league, Beckford came from there, as well as MacLean and Mackaill Smith and also Kevin Phillips. Somebody mentions the strikers from Droylsden, rather pay a fee for them than Colbeck!
  2. Betterchance now Whittaker is on, hope Taylor doesn't tire though. Kilkenny is having a field day, he just needs to be smashed by :censored:!
  3. Some fans from other teams like our pies.... http://www.thefootballforum.net/forums/ind...howtopic=176263
  4. Best player today I thought, how someof you thought you were getting a creative midfielder is beyond me, he is more of an allrounder. Whittaker let him down big time today
  5. Furman by a country mile!
  6. Shame Josh Low's career went downhill afterwards, thought he was really promising when we had him.
  7. Just been reading on Rochdale's website.....Dale Stephens replaced Gary Jones after 61 minutes on Saturday and is going to start on Saturday against Accrington provided Gary Jones doesn't recover.... Oh and O'Grady scored (albeit with the aid of a deflection!)
  8. Had a look on the Dunfermline website and read the match reports. 1 report said he came rushing out and brought the player down and they scored the penalty. Another said he came rushing out, missed the ball and it was put into the box where the opposition scored. Looks like he still makes the same mistakes as last season
  9. I'd be interested if its a decent size...and price. Can you post a pic?
  10. It would be nice but not a hope in hell either of them would come to BP even if we could afford their wages which would be miles over budget
  11. The comment in today's chron about having a similar start under Shez and making the play-offs should be re-assuring to some people. I'd much rather us come with a late challenge (unlikely but we can hope) than have a repeat of last season and peak to soon. If this season can be one of progression as time moves on, surely we will all settle for that. In my opinion, the better teams in this divison are better than the worst teams in the championship and next seasons league shouldnt be as strong as this seasons. Plus, Gregan will have retired and DP will hopefully bring in a centre half or two :-)
  12. Have to say I personally don't rate Holdsworth, he seems very slow and tends to spend too long on the ball. Thought he had a shocker against Accrington and their left winger was their slowest player, although I understand he has had a 'bug'........... All in all, I think another week on the traning ground will be beneficial and i expect a much improved performance come saturday...proviing we fans can encourage the team
  13. Fergie has obviosuly noticed that Tom Cleverly went to Watford and is now in the England Under 21's. Cathcart was at Plymouth lastseason too so no chance of him dropping to League 1. Scholes should have a word on behalf of Latics.......
  14. BRILL LOMAX HAZELL GREGAN SHEEHAN COLBECK FURMAN :censored: TAYLOR ABBOTT BLACKMAN Done and dusted, Lomax much better at right back. Hazell & Greegs certs to start, Sheehan the same. Colbeck and Taylor to keep wide. :censored: and Furman to be all energy. Abbott to not drop deep and Blackman to play off the last mans shoulder......
  15. Stam is injured and has missed Yeovil's last 2 or 3 games
  16. I watched Oldham v Stockport reserves last season. It was when we had Ritchie Byrne playing for us. Oldham battered Stockport first half and went 4-0 up or something. Carl Baker came off the bench and scored a hat-trick(or at least 2 goals) and ran us ragged. Think we only ended up winning by a goal.
  17. ahem.....http://www.sportinglife.com/football/cc_league1/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer_league_1_and_2/09/09/12/manual_183442.html......
  18. he looked bright against Stanley even though he only got a few touches of the ball
  19. Shame we have Bristol Rovers away who we always lose to, unless.............................................
  20. I never met the man but a lot of people appear to hold him in high regard. I wish his family all the best, I'm sure all our thoughts are with them. His passing puts things into perspective, I hope all Latic's fans realise this. God bless
  21. On a brighter note, Dale Stevens has scored for Dale
