  1. I was at the Chesterfield game and the Robbie Simpson goal for me seemed just as good if not better than the goal at Anfield the way the ball swerved from one way to the other, not only sent me the wrong way but also that short arse Lee in their nets. As anyone seen / got any decent footage of the goal yet, i'd love to see it again.
  2. Can some one tell me when latics decided to become a long throw-in team, yes Nathan Clarke can get some distance but today he wasnt playing, Was i missing something today, Josh Parker taking long throw-ins as if he was some Rory De lap. He could only just reach the penalty area and all our players were at the back post except Maxi Moto who some how gave a foul away on every occasion, surely after the training ground move fails on the first 3 or 4 attempts you give up and take a short throw in , but Nope, latics continued with this Not so long throw-in. remember to do long throw-ins you need someone who can throw it a long way !
  3. Thanks for the link I've just downloaded the commentary for the full game its very good, i've edited our goal , makes a great ring tone.. thanks

  17. I have today changed my OWTB photo on my profile to show my good friend Martin Athorn who has just passed away at such a young age, ( if my logo is still showing The PistonBroke club, just click on it and you'll see Martin's picture). I went on many and many away trips with Martin for many years and each trip we had we had so much fun and met many new friends along the way, train, coach, car, bus, hitch hike we've done the lot, win or lose we had a booze, im sure many of you knew Martin, he was the kindest, funiest and most friendly guy i've ever met, we had many a good night with the supporters club in the 80s-90s, we had such a laugh on Roger Palmer's testamonial do's especially the trip to Bernard Mannings. If you ever met Martin i'm sure he'll have told you that he taught Earl Barratt everything that he knew about footy, Martin was at his school and Martin was the team captain and their best player - so he told me anyway... Martin's favourite player as far as i can remember was Vic Halom, king of all Geordies. It would be good if anyone who knew him came up to the Pleasant Inn and had a drink or 2 with us, most of you know Wayne Hurst, who i know very well, If you cant make it, please just give an extra cheer at the next Latics match on behalf of Merp. RIP Merp, you'll never be forgotten, but you'll always be missed... yours Craig Simpson
  18. For me, sign Mike Pollitt from Wigan, top experience goalkeeper, shove Mr Brill in the reserves. It'll do him good. Simpulls
  19. Eardley was a decent right back but he's far from being anywhere near the best weve had at the club, good luck to him for moving up a league and playing with better players. Liddle we got him at the end of a great career, he was great for us and then retired. Betsy - average player , neither a forward or winger, hasnt exactly set the world alight at any club Brill - Been Crap at All his clubs - What exactly do you think he is good at Idiot ?
  20. Ask the Luton fans about a full season last year , they'll tell you. Which of the players are doing well at other clubs then, Eardley has gone to Blackpool but dont forget Joe Royles words, " Eardley is great at going forward but has alot to learn about defending" Are you Brills Mum ?
