  1. Location apart, the bottom line is that we SHOULD build a stadium with a capacity that suits the fanbase. We are not going to get crowds of 12,000 in this division. As long as the facility is there to expand, should we attain and sustain promotion to the championship. Even with a slight increase in attendance in a new stadium and increased revenue streams, we are not going to make enough money to acquire the standard of player to drag us out of this league. That may happen if the TTA make enough money out of the sale of the land at BP, but somehow, I don't think they'll be spending any of it on the club. They will have a better chance of selling the club to someone with ambition if we are in a spanking stadium with good facilities and revenue potential.
  2. With investment, ambition and support from the town and council alike, how can they go wrong?
  3. Disagree. I think a lethal or clinical finisher would make all the difference.
  4. Well, considering we've ended up with a team struggling to score goals, playing in a three-sided shed of a stadium, already relying on loan signings, a lengthy injury list, not enough pies to go round on a match day and a fickle public that won't support any form of improvement for sporting facilities, let alone support the club. I think you've got every reason to be worried. Btw, a club will only "belong" to a fan if that fan has got his heart in the club. Something that's hard to do at the moment.
  5. The Boundary Park 'hoodoo' is well and truly set-in. It's amazing...new management, new players...same old 'hoodoo'. Maybe it is time to leave the place.
  6. He's young and maybe the estimates were 'worst scenario', but it doesn't look as though he will be involved too much.
  7. You couldn't make it up, could you? Well done to the 'Tics today, we usually don't fare well at their place, although I think we have the edge overall. Another clean sheet as well.
  8. Bob, we haven't even got a "drawing board" left. You only have to look at the subs bench to see how thin we are on the ground.
  9. We are looking decidedly lightweight at the back, again.
  10. Spot on, that man! Oldham looks to be dying on it's feet and the councillors fiddle while the town burns!
  11. That's a bit drastic. The :censored: is hitting the fan and soon, it's going to start smelling.
  12. Will Penney look for another loan striker or will Blackman deemed to be adequate cover? 'Chron
  13. Bugger! I wish I'd known! Same ole, same ole. The Latics are not a fashionable team and the whole World and it's dog were probably expecting an easy match for Charlton. Wardie.
  14. Fantastic result, given the expectation of the Charlton fans and their home results so far. Well done the lads. Wardie.
