  1. Yea, a guy who failed at Scunthorpe is just what we need.
  2. And it's not as if the money went back into the club. The lengths some people will go to to defend these shysters is truly baffling.
  3. This is the stand that OEC are taking all the revenue from yes? You couldn't make it up.
  4. Get your tin hat on mate, Corney is god and Shez the anointed one so everything's gonna be okay. Can't wait for all the goons who a month ago were foaming at the mouth demanding we bring players in during the transfer window desperately trying to justify the lack of signings, let's hope their right that Sheridan will get a tune out of players that the previous two managers couldn't. He'll have to be bleedin Beethoven.
  5. That's because in my eyes Corney and Blitz are to blame entirely for what we have become, a shadow of the club we once were with no ambition and suffering a slow painful death while they make a healthy profit from us in the process. Sorry if that's negative but it's how I truly feel. I'm happy about lots of other things not latics related though
  6. If he genuinely thinks that then he's deluded. Makes you wonder what Sheridan was told when he got the job though, probably along the lines of 'don't worry if we go down Shez, your a legend here, no one will blame you.'
  7. Yep, more than once. Fortunately the re-election system was well bent so we always managed to secure enough votes to survive.
  8. Or a side which missed out on the Premier League title by one point? I agree it's where a club is now that matters, which is why it's criminal that under Corney's tenure we've trodden water at best while watching clubs no bigger than us whizz by.
  9. Don't think we'll be seeing anyone come in if i'm honest, scratching around on deadline day smacks of desperation, one short-term signing in almost 3 weeks doesn't suggest a concerted effort to keep us up. Think Sheridan's going to have to go with the dross we've already got and they've already cost two managers their jobs this season so good luck John.
  10. Lol my point was that not too long ago there is no way that Rotherham would be viewed as a step up, players went there to die. Which is exactly the kind of club we have now become under Corney.
  11. The interesting part of that report is how Newport and Exeter actually plan to re-invest any income into the football club. The injection of funds from the Conor Washington transfer is excellent news, especially given that apart from regular, relatively low value, long term creditor agreements all money will be available to be re-invested in the football club. “Initial considerations are to replicate the approach developed by Exeter where the income is split three ways into the playing budget (this season and next), working capital and football development (academy, infrastructure etc). Share articl “The academy at all levels is a critical part of our club and the need to continue to invest is paramount. Wonder how a three-way split would work with us?
  12. That's kindof my point. Tarky left us for a club in the same division, JCH went to Rotherham, a club who didn't play in their home town for years yet both Brentford and Rotherham were viewed as a step up. The days when we had any ambition other than bobbing along in League 1 are long gone.
  13. I think the fact they don't play for us any longer proves it totally.
  14. Which goes some way to explaining the decline in attendances.
  15. We won't ever until we have new owners. No player who wants to achieve something in their career is going to come anywhere near us.
  16. And he'll play instead of who exactly? Midfield isn't where we need strengthening right now.
  17. Sheridan is quoted today as saying we need something down the left side of defence. Seems he's failed to galvanise Mills as well then.
  18. My point is it doesn't matter, this is a side comprising players who aren't good enough combined with ones who don't give a :censored:. We're cast-iron certs to go down and people who thought sacking Dunn would suddenly make the same players different were deluding themselves. Let's see where we are at Easter eh?
  19. There's probably a reason for that. And Coleman seems to inspire the same amount of terror in the defence as Cornell does. Sheridan ain't gonna galvanise this team pal, no one could.
  20. Yea fair enough. Dunn got three games before the abuse started. I apologise.
