  1. Only a matter of time before this happened - what the PL want, they get and stuff what anyone else thinks about it. They'll be entering U21 sides in a regionalised Leagues 1 & 2 soon. It may also be insurance for when they're forced to leave UEFA through organising a European League. That day can't come soon enough for me.
  2. We played well in patches. Rochdale were the better team though, you cant blame it on bad luck.
  3. If it was a dive why wernt our defenders all over the ref? No one challenged the decision. Holloways goal shouldve stood though.
  4. Wow. it only took you 5 posts, I was wondering when you'd slime back.
  5. Too true they are and some inadequate people who come on here can't wait to ridicule anyone who has an opinion they disagree with. My original response on this thread was to disagree with someone who said our facilities are better than Rochdale's - that's all. I just stated my opinion. I sure didn't ask for yours. I'll sit wherever the :censored: I like pal and if I want to comment about the fact the club can't even be arsed providing basic protection against the weather then I will. If you're incapable of responding without using insults then who's the loser?
  6. Here's a fact for you, I don't want to go in the new stand or the main stand. Why should I be forced to sit somewhere I don't want to because the club are happy to treat their customers like :censored:? Christ it was only two weeks ago they got a second member of staff serving behind the bar so instead of it taking 20 minutes to get served at half time its now only 15. You gotta love em.
  7. Not just the home end, the Chaddy end as well. It's quite unbelievable that if you want a pre match beer or pie at Oldham you're open to the elements. Spotland may be a dump but they look after their fans. We don't.
  8. Not goal wise they haven't. Murphy has, and before you say that was in League 2 have a quick check to see what division Wycombe are in. Cheers for clarifying how the league system works though, I've struggled with that for many years. Perhaps you can also explain how playing two strikers without a goal between them in 14 games is going to ensure we score enough to win the games we need to stay up?
  9. Without a doubt it's true. At Rochdale you can have a pre-match and half-time beer without getting pissed on if it rains. That in itself is an improvement on the 'facilities' in the Rochdale Rd end. The lounge in their home end is vastly superior to what we have, and I include the North Stand in that. Plus they have the pub/bar on the corner of the stadium. We don't even come close.
  10. Don't understand that comment. Without a forward who can score we're going to struggle to win enough games to stay up bearing in mind the teams we have to play. Main and Holloway haven't produced, Murphy has and to farm him out on loan given our situation makes no sense.
  11. Dieng yea, James Wilson and Kelly? I don't see any improvement other than Wilson's marginally less :censored:e at full back than he is at centre half. Jones has gone backwards, as has Forte. Coleman, Brown, Mills and Winchester have been garbage all season, he hasn't improved them at all, to the extent Brown, Mills and Winchester aren't even in the team. The only players he's getting a tune out of are the ones he's brought in on loan.
  12. How many goals have they scored in those games?
  13. Fair enough cos starting Murphy would've negated all the goals scored by Main and Holloway....oh hang on a minute...
  14. The myth plenty on here were spouting that Sheridan could "get a tune" out of our current squad can finally be dispelled. As nzlatic says, our best, most effective players all season have been loan signings, which is a damning comment three quarters of the way into the season. We're in the bottom 4 for a reason and that's 100% down to the players not being good enough. If they were we wouldn't have needed to use 43 of them.
  15. Yea I think he is. We're not scoring enough goals, obvious to a blind man with a stick, he's scored three more goals for us than our other two forwards put together. The reason he hasn't scored more is cos he's not been given a decent run in the team, unlike Main and Holloway. I think it's a crazy decision to loan him out. What would we have lost by starting him and giving him the opportunity?
  16. " a £6.5M stand which will see us probably double what they get in match day revenue." - How do you reach that conclusion? Dale's matchday facilities put ours to shame. I would venture their business model is a lot less riskier than ours -
  17. Yep, that's how league tables work, the less points you drop the higher you finish.
  18. They drop less points than teams in the bottom four though, hence their position in the table.
  19. That I did know. Did you know that all bar 3 of our remaining games are against teams in the top half who all have realistic hopes of promotion or making the play-offs. My point being that to maintain that turnaround our performances will have to improve, a lot.
  20. No I didn't know that, thanks for pointing it out, I know now. I also know that we're still in the bottom four and if we play like we did in the last three games that's where we'll be staying.
