I've read a few articles and MM states that he was fully aware of Chris Porter from his time down south and was a striker he was interested in, but wasn't aware his contract was up this summer. Whilst in the Scottish Sun newspaper he's quoted as saying Chris Porter was his number one target and he's delighted to capture his signature. So I take it he and the Motherwell board had prepared a 700K bid?

Porter is reported as saying he wants to stay at Latics. So if all them statements are true, why would he leave? simple he wouldn't, so someone or something isn't right or being truthful. Would KK and Liddell play the same position? Whilst I don't think Liddell will feature the same this time around purely cos of his age and the better calibre of player being brought in. He still was last season worthy of his place and did the business regarding making goals. You cant beat pace all over an attack, that goes without saying. Thou look at JJ, pace to burn but how headless in the main. Blackpool had pace coupled with good understanding when to pass and where to move, not just pace.

S-W. Taylor flattered to decieve many times last season. He is a great potential player and very happy he's here. Swansea away showed what he is capable of. He murdered the midfield and full back down his side, especially in the firdt half, thou that said he didn't deliver enough threat at the final play. Taylor struggles if he doesn't beat his man in the first few attempts during a game and this needs to be addressed in his game. He also needs to start producing end result which produces goals. Liddell does this and it's goals that wins games. For me Liddell did more than Taylor last season. If Taylor cannot at his age put more effort into a game than Liddell theres little cheers in that. As for penalties. If Liddell was on the pitch I know as gaffer who would be taking them. Liddells record is second only to Le Tis.

for me, Lidds does not do enough for the team Absolute garbage. Liddell created most our goals by one single player. Narrow minded. The record is there if you care to look. And I have more faith than most. Check the posts this week whilst the doom and gloom was ongoing. Oh and I was the person who first used the phrase TTA. So I cant spout garbage all the tine eh Fin. Liddell as been a class act at this level and still is. Also did more than Taylor last season without doubt. Thou he will soon pass into the too old group.

When Clarke was here for me he had more good games than bad. No player can be constantly good. Added to this whilst he was here Latics weren't playin the best football they had that season, yet the results wasn't bad were they? Clarke also had to play with Warne up top and for all Warne's running, he isn't the best striker. I'd have Clarke back and then it's down to Shez man management to get the best outta Clarke. Plus the fans can make or break a players love affair with Latics.

Nope none of them so far suggested is the name I've been given. If it's the guy I've been told, it's defo controversial and if I say ironic you'll understand that bit. I think I'll be right in saying (by a counrty mile) he'll be the most expensive player (in terms of transfer fee's) Latics have ever had!!!!!
