The reason I ask andy, many may want to hold a banner of some description but probably not know where to get one and alas then not do so. Can you give details here mate or even start a new thread if you could provide banners for those who want them?

Further to the fact this is only OUTLINE APPROVAL, Corney stated clearly he would still work with the residents after a yes vote and would reduce the storeys in the blocks if that helped ease the residents minds. David, As a somewhat disillusioned Latics fan at the outcome of the planning meeting held last night. I'd just like to know your feelings on the committee's decision to ignore the professionals the council as on hand to advise on matters to which they are qualified. I find absolutely unbelievable when Les Harrison not just once but twice upon being asked by a member of the committee to clearly state if the traffic survey is correct, does so. That then the chair Councillor Bashford makes it clear to the other members present he doesn't believe it and sway a no vote. What are your feelings please? Craig Lavis. Bang on Alan. The emotion was there for all to see. He's just gobsmacked and I think fearing the worse in this forth coming meeting today with TTA.

I was left numb with the outcome of the meeting. What really got to me was that Les Harrison who the chair stated as being a reknown professional in traffic management clearly agreed with the traffic survey that the extra cars would not impact on the area to a detrimental effect, not only once but a second time more clearly upon being asked by a councillor to do so. Then for the chairman to basically turn around and tell Les Harrison he didn't believe him was beyond comprehension. Not only this the resident group knowing that to go down the extra cars route was futile in the face of the report never really mentioned this in their statement to oppose this. Unbelieveable. I just hope that when Oldham Athletics doors close (and I now believe this is inevitable) these very Councillors who have resided over an empty pursed council realise what they have done to the town and many folk in and out of it. To those over joyed residents enjoy your extra 10k on your house prices when BP finally is raised to the ground then watch them fall below there current value as the town of Oldham sinks into obscurity. I am just glad I don't live there! To TTA thanks for the ride and giving me along with my fellow fans 4 years of hope to which wenever would have enjoyed without you. Vernon was your average squad player and always but always did better coming off the bench. The major problem with Vernon was if he didn't score he contributed nothing else to the game. The lad can score as he has against Latics !! but he isn't a 30 goal merchant cos he isn't a starting 11 player which his two clubs to date bears out.

Here's a really out landish rumour for ya...........Ricketts and Shez had an amazing bust up. Shez actually confessed he'd cocked up bringing him in and Ricketts was perplexed he had been singled out in this true fashion ahaed of Allott, Kalala, Thompson and Crossley. Plus his main strike partner never passed to him.

I am not surprised these kind of decisions are coming out from the club. Lets face it the side as gone backwards from last season without question. To be fair to Sheridan to try and replace Wellens and Porter at this level would be a hard task for any side, whereas Warne though he as his supporters on here wouldn't be hard to replace. The last home game saw the crowd drop below 5000 and can only see this being the norm unless fortunes change on the pitch, and even then the crowd won't be back initially. I said the other week it's time for Sheridan to hold his hands up and say the signings in the main haven't worked out and get those players into his office with the very hard words "you've no future in this clubs plans" and make it known he wants their agents to start working hard on their behalf to move them on without the big pay handouts to go. Of course they don't have to leave they can sit on their contracts, however he needs to make it known they'll train with the kids everyday morning and afternoon if they want to milk this club. Then learn the mistakes and bring in the correct players with his new realised budget. I certainly believe Sheridan knows these players are not capable, just like he's shown with Ricketts. I hate to even dirty this board with reference to Taggart, but he plays hard ball when its required and Sheridan needs to add this to his armoury. I have to say after the match Saturday and there was this reference to Sheridan saying I'll have to have a word with the owners about a loan striker, I got the feeling then that he was making it known into the public domain without TTA first being approached and that he had a good idea he'd be knocked back. Every team thats having a bad season collects a good win somewhere. I just hope Sheridan tells the players in no uncertain terms that the fans need a win a PP tomorrow night. Due to it being the dippers fans and RM. I'll be very disappointed if we only manage to muster the same support the dippers bring to BP..... we are better than that. I never hinted you were a boo boy or a lesser supporter of Latics than anyone, especially myself. I've not recalled anyone else saying that. With the crowds dwindling at an alarming rate currently I just feel that sooner or later each punch of disappointment will send our three friends and benefactors running one day. Now that alarms me! This is the FA Cup we're taking about, the greatest cup comp in the entire world. Yes the big time charlies have devalued it cos the premeir is all they see, but I'll see hell freeze over before the rest see it that way. Sorry Brother gonna be pedantic it was 15 in 36 appearances. 10 off which in those appearances was as sub. Still a good return and he's nearing the end of his contract (end of this season)

Yes that is a good return Exile.....I thought for some reason his move to a big club (Brizzle is big to Yeovil) fell flat. Ok I'll say if Jevons comes we need to off load another to allow a big fella in. Stand by the other stuff both Allott and Kalala need moving on and maybe Crossley (harsh on Crossley maybe but he's too old)

How did Jevons do last season? not so sure about him to be honest. With the current players we have I'd go for a decent big strong target man. Someone that Hughes, Davis and Wolfy could feed off. That way we could mix up our play to include the passing of the ball creating the space out wide or the more direct route bringing Davis' pace into play from the knock on's. Yep this sounds like Ricketts however I'd like this big strong fella to be more mobile and I don't want that to sound like a dig at Ricketts cos against Northampton he was our best player thou faded the last 20 mins. The very fact I've plumped for a big target man the likes of which we had in Ricketts suggest that Sheridan has a problem in his midfield, which to my mind he has. Allott and Kalala need off loading and fresh players in. Taylor needs to pull his socks up (which at Forest am lead to be believe he did better) and Liddell needs the ball sooner and deliver it. I'd still put Liddell in the hole between the forwards and midfield, I think he'd create chances there, link play and actually score a few too.
