Seems like he’s been having a tough few days battling rough seas and headwinds…surely this should be MMs pre match on Saturday…our 73 year old owner..the bloke who pays our wages and really doesn’t have to be doing this has been on his own for the last 50 days in a tiny boat rowing for 8-10 hours a day to raise money to help other people…so what are you going to do for the next 90 minutes…?

I think Kurt is not quite up to NL level and the Scottish Championship is probably more where he is at. Nuttall I still think is a handful and should have done better but for whatever reason he didn’t fire with us, the fact that he’s gone up a level surely reinforces this

The way recruitment has been handled since the Rothwell money came in has been pretty appalling, we have signed sooo many players with very few actually making an impact and now have a huge but still unbalanced squad. Surely that is on Mr Royle Jr and DU and his team when they were running the show. Hopefully now we are recruiting to a better plan but I am still not entirely convinced.

I’m also a little surprised at this one. Midfield still seems like our weak spot surely and with Norwood and Dallas plus Fondop (and one of the other strikers as a further back up, including Green and Tollit as attacking wingers) we must have enough up front. I’m also stunned at the supposed amount of money being chucked at this by the Rothwell family, I rather fear that with their lack of football background they are not able to challenge some of the decision making, and certainly not when DU and the gang were in full hiring mode last summer. Ultimately, we have to get promotion this season or next otherwise questions will be asked. It would actually be great to understand the clubs overall finances but I guess that’s never going to happen

Thoroughly enjoyed that, excellent debuts from Conlon and Sachdev. Lund looked far better as did Sheron. What really struck me was when we had a bit of a ragged patch early in the second half we never switched off and there was always someone covering, blocking, getting their body in the way…superb commitment and it felt like they know the bar has been raised Well done MM and thank you Frank and family!

Shame about Dallas, slightly surprised he isn’t on the bench but Hope can do a good job from there wherever needed and Walker with his pace I guess Jeez, we have a huge squad!!!

..a reminder of why Aldershot are having a much better season than many assumed…they’ve got some very good players but young so some erratic results

I’m not sure that Fondop needs replacing (assuming he is a sub most weeks that is rather than starting) at this level he does a great job, especially off the bench. Norwood and Stones v2 upfront with Mikey coming off the bench is a promotion winning forward line in the NL

This stinks to me, I live in Hampshire and whilst it has been a cold this week the ground is not that frozen and by midday is pretty soft, not a chance this is unplayable….except we are in the 2020s where logic is replaced by nonsensical bollocks I sense Eastleigh are not that keen to play the game tomorrow This may be the final straw for me with football, the game is almost unrecognisable from when I grew up
