  1. We only took 270 or so to Bromley but that was in the Unsworth era! As I’ve moaned about elsewhere, there is almost zero engagement by the club regarding away games so no idea what the turnout will be
  2. https://tickets.afcfylde.co.uk/en-GB/events/afc fylde vs oldham athletic/2023-10-24_19.45/mill farm?hallmap
  3. https://tickets.afcfylde.co.uk/en-GB/events/afc fylde vs oldham athletic/2023-10-24_19.45/mill farm?hallmap Very cool ticketing system with countdown …assume the away terrace started at 1,000 which is it’s official capacity plus we have A block which has 170 seats. Don’t let the club know we know let’s sell it out before they realise
  4. Well, you could just buy one now! This could sell out before the club even mentions they are on sale We really don’t seem to be “on it” as far as away games are concerned
  5. Dale are already selling home tickets for the other 3 sides so presumably no chance of any further tickets….unless they open up the last block of 450 or so next to Sandy Lane end
  6. I have the feeling the club just aren’t that interested in away support..no money in it so the entire commercial focus is on home matches. There is little or no promotion or buzz around away games, no coaches (even when there are rail strikes happening like this weekend) and the tickets # is rarely updated. The Rochdale situation is symptomatic of this approach with no thought given to the (surely obvious) potential outcome. All in all it just doesn’t seem important which is a shame because 3 points are on offer just the same as home games! Come on Darren, you and the team are doing a fantastic job on almost everything else!
  7. The club is hopefully talking to Dale about more…surely this is a chance for them to sell out the entire ground by giving us that whole stand plus the small terrace behind the goal Basically 5000 tickets per club. Football must be the only business that tries to limit sales! The segregation argument is nonsense as the other end block has been made available
  8. agreed, mostly put it ‘cos it’s at the end of my suggested walk + the view is iconic! (Aqua bar is free entry which is why it’s. A lever alternative to the viewing gallery, lower but still great view and you spend £25 on drinks rather than lift!) TBH I would just get a pint at one of the pubs along the way and look out over the Thames
  9. You should absolutely do it Redlion! London is the greatest city in the world (Imho) and brilliant for walking around and just taking things in. The game last around 3.5 to 4 hours (plus they’ll be in the stadium an hour before so you have loads of time. Here’s what I’d do; Take the tube from Wembley Park (10 min walk down Wembley Way) down to Baker Street and then change onto the Bakerloo line and get off at Piccadilly Circus. Stroll down Haymarket to Trafalgar Square and visit the National Portrait Gallery. After that, head down Northumberland Avenue and over the walking bridge across the Thames with the Houses of Parliament to your right and the London Eye opposite you. Then turn left along the riverside walk and you can walk all the way along the South Bank taking in the sights and sounds of the river as well as Shakespeares Globe Theatre, HMS Belfast, and Clink Street (Englands first prison) and ending at More London and Tower Bridge. On the way you pass the Tate Modern where you can marvel at why an IKEA mirror is now displayed as a piece of art and other cool stuff! (You can also venture out to the middle of the Thames on the infamous Millennium Bridge now they have fixed the “wobble”) There are endless bars and restaurants along the way, some expensive some “normal” but if you have time and really want to see London, Europes tallest building the Shard is at London Bridge and you can pre book a visit to the viewing gallery on the 68th floor or, spend the same money but on a drink at Aqua bar on the 31st floor which still has amazing views (no booking needed so first come first served Once you’ve had enough you can jump on the Jubilee line at the newly redeveloped London Bridge Station which will take you all the way back up to Wembley Park in approx 30 mins or so Enjoy
  10. Are you just trying to drive the price down mate? Don’t listen to him, it’s a great experience and a chance to check out Wembley before our next FA Cup semi final v ManUre which must be due again soon!
  11. As I can’t now go, I have 2 tickets for the Jaguars v Atlanta Falcons NFL game at Wembley this Sunday if anyone fancies a double header after watching Latics beat Wealdstone?! They are decent seats just a couple of rows back from the front of the top tier..and, they are end of row seats so you can easily head to the bar during the regular game breaks! The game kicks off at 2:30 so plenty of time to get home! I payed just over £90 per ticket but happy to accept a fair offer from a fellow ‘Tic Its a great experience if you haven’t been before! DM me if interested, I have the tickets so can send the digital files and/or you can print out the PDF
  12. No chance it was as bad as an Unsworth performance…we would have lost that tonight under that fraud. Tommo made the right changes up front that won us the game. No idea also why you were criticising Hudson? Kidderminster worked their socks off and any team would have had to defend hard tonight to get something…we did and Hobson was outstanding…the same lad who was almost ruined by Unsworth Obviously that was not as good as the first two games under Tommo but again, he sorted it out on the pitch and we won! Seriously cheer up and enjoy our playoff push
  13. You could see the hand of the manager in that game….came out much sharper after half time and then he made the double switch up front which gave us the legs to win the game as well as defend from the front as Nuttall and Norwood tired. Tommo has gone back to basics, at this level, and with the squad we have, that is all we need (well, + a decent midfielder or two)
  14. Central Midfield is the problem, as always, Shelton can’t tackle and Sheron can’t pass, great combination
  15. I can’t understand any criticism, implied or otherwise, in just two games we have gone from the complete shambles we were under Unsworth and Ebrell into a professional, well organised 4-4-2 that has comfortably won both games without conceding a goal. Tommo has done what we should have been doing from day 1 and we have wasted a year with Unsworth in charge! Two big away games now, both winnable with this squad and if we do win both I would give the job to Tommo until the end of the season.
  16. …but that’s kind of my point, I think the club needs to build a long term team of coaches, scouts, analysts, perhaps a director of Football type roll and a preferred style of play (attacking!) and then the manager or head coach fits into that rather than the merry go round and massive upheaval every time…I think this could provide the stability we need…this is how companies work and they try to hire people who fit into the culture and ethos of the company rather than changing everything twice a year!
  17. I would be quite happy if they gave it to Tommo for the rest of the season (if he actually wants it) There are hundreds of potential managers out there and zero guarantee that any individual will work out so frankly, rather than go through more upheaval just give him the chance and if he keeps it simple like he did last night I’ll be very happy I also think a system and plan should be built by the club rather than an individual so “managers” or head coach can come and go but the system stays in place….attacking style, pressing, front foot football please!
  18. As someone so succinctly put it on Twitter/ X ..”we won the game because we tried to win the game”
  19. The Refs in this league are utterly shocking, where the fuck do they get them from as they’ve clearly never played a football match in their lives We’ll have someone sent off tonight , the Ref is desperate to show a Red
  20. and just to improve the evening further Citeh are losing to Red Star
  21. Simple game football. Set the team up properly and tell them to go for it
