    Is it bollocks. If it was all about getting behind the team, the majority of the singers would sit in the middle of the stand, and try and get the whole stand rocking, rather than sitting as close to the opposition fans as possible and singing songs to them all night.

    I think the players like playing towards the Chaddy as playing that way they're going downhill, rather than uphill.

    Yep - I meant it was good to see the conference games were doing silence, as opposed to our applause.

    Friend of mine is a county fan and tells me the game at their place is likely to be moved to the Friday night, as Sale rugby have a home game on the Saturday which is going to be televised.

    Just a quick one - the 'makers' recruit fans as volunteers, and get them to sort out the data for their clubs - in the vast majority of cases anyway. So you can blame McGoo for making us great

    Hehe - how's this for a friend-of-a-friend rumour?!? My friend's City supporting mate, who is in the same Sunday League side as a Manchester City physio informs me that the Micah Richards deal was virtually done last week!

    Anyone mention Huckerby yet? I know people think he's going to the States, but I read this recently: As to his immediate future, he said: “Everyone thinks I am going to America but we'll see. It's not as easy as me wanting to go somewhere. It's a difficult process. I don't know what's happening yet but I'm going to try to stick to my promise that I'll never play against Norwich so it cuts out a lot of potential moves.”

    Funny you should mention Bournemouth. I sat in the Chaddy for the Bournemouth game, and could hear them singing. I sat in the Rocky for the Cheltenham game, but couldn't hear the Chaddy - could see them clapping and their mouths going, but no sound.

    I would love Morrell - a real experienced pro, perfect to have on the bench when things are going wrong, to bring on and setup Hughes for a goal. Big, strong and has a good footballing brain (like Hughes).

    Having been in there on Sat, I'd say anything from row Z back (AA, etc) would be fine, weather wise.

    What I don't get is if the club don't want people on the pitch, why don't they put stewards on the inside of the stand, rather than on the pitch. Lot harder to get past a load of stewards preventing you climbing up, rather than trying to stop you when you're already half way over.
