i agree, this is the greatest thread of all time! As a Grotton resident would i qualify for INBREDS membership through being part of the wider area of Saddleworth? Or would i have to become a Grotton Athletic Yob?

we can't just go out and splash the trotters cash, im pretty sure the club's still losing money, so its way more sensible to put probably the majority of the cash to running the club. cos we cant even think about signing players if we havent got a club!

wolfy's the type of player whos gonna need 90mins in order to truly show his quality, hes a predetary striker, so when he plays a few 90mins and gets the chances he'll start to tuck them away, i think wolfy and allessandra can potentially go far

it would be worth renaming it because whatever they do, tics will always call whatevers on that site Boundary Park. If it was renamed it could simply be the renamed 'The (McDonalds) Sponsored Boundary Park, kinda like the FA Cup is the FA Cup Sponsered By E.On. PS Mcdonalds is just an example!

Id go for Guns Of Navarone to be played after a goal, but i definately agree we should play Boys In Blue just before K.O. and have a good sing-a-long, it only seems to get played when were trooping out after the match at the moment

if Porter hasn't signed, im presuming nothings stopping him going to Norwich if theyre interested. I hope to all the gods that Norwich are interested now, cos after this i dont really want porter at the club but i really think we need, nay deserve, the money!

My grandad always used to tell me a tale about Bobby Johnstone where he would repeatedly say modern footballers wouldnt have the sense or quick thinking to do what he did. Johnstone was out on the touchline being jostled for the ball by 3 defenders, it looked like he would lose the ball, allowing the other team to attack. But back in those days the stand was of course a lot closer to the pitch than today, so Johnstone, thinking quickly, just knocked the ball against the boarding at the bottom of the stand, it bounced back, nutmegged the defender and Johnstone turned and launched an attack in which Latics scored!
