  1. One thing Shahed mentioned was the way he called for money to be spent to arrange activities and entertainment for fans on match days. He was just ignored he said. I know the positive effect of a welcome from the club to fans on match day has been po pooed as having no effect on fan numbers by a certain person on here, but I suspect a lot would appreciate it. As I’ve mentioned before, a winning team brings a bigger crowd, a great experience keeps some of those coming back.
  2. Possibly half way through the season when bill stop being paid? It would sound like Shahed recommended the EFL loan so that the football club, could continue to pay the bills last year. No such option is available this year.
  3. Having met Shahed several times, we heard him really trying to be guarded and careful. The real Shahed appeared a few times, the comments about the different valuations. However, despite being careful there were some very interesting comments that debunked the story that AL has fed us. Didn’t we get told before that AL was having to find £200,000 every month? While that may be true during the first few months funding certain players at over £10,000pw, it certainly hasn’t been the case for the past 2 and a half years according to Shahed. He said AL was great at coming up with £50,000 at short notice, but Shahed also said he stopped contacting him much, presumably because he didn’t get the money he needed. Shahed seems to have recommended the EFL loan, so that wages would get paid. I read that between the lines, things have been worse then Shahed has admitted.
  4. Shahed mentioned that procedures weren’t followed. He accepted Corney had the right to satisfy the Blitz debt by assigning ownership, just that he should have got prior approval from the Council. Surely there will be no legal case to reverse the agreement unless the council support the football clubs action?
  5. You could look no further then, one side come over at interview willing to answer questions and declaring themselves as fans wanting to help save the club, and the other won’t answer any questions and hates fans if they ask questions and has helped to destroy the football club we all love! Maybe? Or are your opinions firmly fixed.
  6. Just thinking, I wonder if PTB should ask Shez if he would bring the team to play a friendly against a fan’s team as part of early season prep. As a fan himself he may agree for this to happen and proceeds after expenses to go to the OASF funds. BO should agree as ex OASF chairman and long time fan. (It would show his allegiances)
  7. Shahed was there from the beginning of August 2019 when he took over from his brother Tanvir who wasn’t coping with the job.
  8. I’m guessing the inexperienced admit team in charge, don’t know that!
  9. Before someone come in with, “buying the ground isn’t as important getting rid of AL”, look at the problems Bury fans have had, and the excitement of buying back Gig Lane. Of course we need to get rid of AL, but that is so far not going well, is it?
  10. IMO we/OASF, need to work out a system of fundraising which can work for our unique issues. Making the fund raising specifically for purchasing the ground, would allow a system to be developed where the contributor ultimately owns a small share of an asset. If we can have a system where the contributor to the fund, also has a promise of money back if no purchase ever happens, then I’m in for a 4 or possibly 5 figure sum. I am not prepared to donate that amount with the possibility that it will not be spent for its intended use. I would not want it sitting in the OASF account being frittered away on helping a new owner fund a player or some other so far not invented reason. If I am not unique and we have other fans willing to contribute even a small amount as long as they have some control and possible money back, we could quickly have a much more impressive amount to offer. It would really be nice to know what Blitz would accept from a fans buy out. Buying a badge off our present owner is something I don’t want to contribute to, unless it is 1£.
  11. That poor lad was treated abysmally by AL. Yet another one he bullied!
  12. Agreed. It all baffles me. Surely trying to buy the ground and the North stand would make the most sense as the money buys and asset rather then a badge. If the club goes bump the Phoenix club has a safe home.
  13. That shouldn't stop us as a fans co-op purchasing it, as long as we are prepared to take the risk. It should bring the price down as we would be taking the risk on. The council should be happy because the community would now own the new stand that they contributed to building, hence the risk goes away.
  14. Could the trust not go to Blitz and ask for a realist price for the ground etc. If we could have one, I’m sure there are a good few fans who would invest in their share of the ground. If we owned the ground as fans, there would be a bit more security against the club disappearing if we are relegated.
  15. I understand that, but I was suggesting something extra/new. Something that would actually encourage me to donate. Also it would offer proof of the number of fans boycotting. Proof of the number of fans refusing to give the present owner any money.
  16. Could we have something on the new OASF website which allows us to quickly deposit “ticket” money which we would otherwise have given to the club. A dedicated and easy to find (pop up maybe) link to buy your “not” match ticket. I think those of us who are boycotting and would otherwise be at the match may be happy to pop that money in the “fund” every fortnight. Make it interesting by showing the total amount donated for each match. (PS. It would be a wind up for Mo to see how much money they are not receiving at the turnstiles )
  17. For Michael Beach to be promoted to Operations Manager from Club Secretary and then just disappear from the club list of officials with no mention of a “thank you for all your hard work” is a bit strange to say the least. Do we think he has walked or fallen out and been sacked?
  18. Is it such a big assumption? One of our 2 physios from last year up and leaves to go to Blackpool as second physio, so the only "career progression" is a different club at similar level. The Doctor who has been there 30 years leaves, I'm guessing not to a "career progression" and our present head of Physiotherapy, so you don't go upwards from that, leaves to take another job, probably at a different club, ie one which will treat him better. I think the assumption was a reasonable one.
  19. More important is the head physio vacancy. Tends to suggest things are not going well in the medical room. That won’t be due to the work, it is more likely to be the relationships.
  20. Or maybe he needed to be paid more to take the risk of being unhappy at Oldham. In fact 10% more then that because it was his second time!
  21. If you will do it for free, then you can have the job, not worried about your qualifications,
  22. I wonder how many of those on this list have been in their post longer then 4 years, or 3 years for that matter
  23. I agree totally. Wouldn’t that be easier to achieve if he could prove he was fit by playing. After all, oldham is still paying for him, why not use him. Is it just AL’s pride getting it the way of a place in the March day squad?
  24. How can there be proof when you are speculating, however most would agree a fit Wheater even at the end of his career, would be our best defender. We have a terrible goals against for the season, but most game scores have been close enough that one goal less conceded would have given us points. I firmly believe Wheater playing since the start of the season would have given us 4 or 5 points, and possibly more. It is the owners pride which is costing us an interest in promotion this season. (There has been enough leaked for us to know HK has been banned from playing him). Now we just have a nothing football season in the middle of one of the worst years of our lives.
  25. I would be identified as an accidental bite, so as to show the extra risk of infection from an injury caused by a tooth.
