Is this him training for us?
Looks very similar to one of the lads warming up before kick off.

Ha! Well apart from that, they have had a failed takeover, have zero money and have lost a lot of the players they had last season (granted who got them relegated)
They've just signed Nathon Tyson today mind, but are looking like selling one of their other young players too.
Seasoned players like Brian Stock, James Coppinger, Ross Turnbull, Gabriel Tamas, Chris Brown and Richie Wellens have left....and its left a squad thats filled right now with kids.
They dont look in a good way...
Brian Stock left two years ago (!)

...must be the summer holidays.

Beckett had (at least) a 1 in 3 league goals per game ratio for every club he ever played for (aside for 5 games at Sheffield United). Pretty impressive, really. Especially when you compare that to what we've got now.
-
I wouldn't touch Forte with a barge pole after yesterday's showing. Was impressed with him last Tuesday though.
Thought he was poor against Curzon Ashton too; LJ must see something I don't!
-
Not neccessarily BP; aren't those 2 formations the most closely linked of them all?
The wider 2 of the front 3 tucking back when defending makes it 4-5-1, and then when the teams breaks forward, it easily becomes the origianal 4-3-3?
Surely you've seen that in action before? I don't think its that hard to get?
This is exactly what happened. Pretty sure we didn't play 4-4-2 at any stage.

No. 9 (goalscorer) and No. 27 (holding midfielder) looked decent. No. 11 and No. 28 (both wingers) were pretty anonymous. Gros put himself about a bit, with no real end product. Llera looks a classy player. Calm on the ball, seems to be a leader on the pitch. Mistimed a tackle near the end before their goal, though. Pretty sure none of them were 30 year old Bulgarian strikers.
-
I know you can't judge off a video, but he looks like a goalscoring centre forward! Wow. That would make a pleasant change. He's also got 8 caps for Bulgaria and at 30 years of age you'd still expect him to be good for a couple of seasons.
People said the same about England international Michael Ricketts!

Is this on the website or in the paper?

Ellis Plummer set to sign two year deal at City and join St Mirren on loan...
Hope for us all yet!

Only one player in our midfield kept the team ticking and moving last season and it wasn't Wes who worked hard and had a good season his first in 3 by the way. If you can't see the difference between the 2 and you obviously can't then there no point to this.
We turned down offers for Smith in January as mentioned by LJ but I expect you to disbelieve that as it suits your argument and I don't know who from but it won't be :censored:in Shrewsbury that's for sure!
Disagree completely with that. His first season here, he was probably our best player (hampered only by his recurring shoulder problem). We looked completely lost without him, and the majority were delighted when we tied him down to a 2-year deal in the close season.
-
He won five player-of-the-season awards for a reason. We'll miss him...
-
Smith, Wilson, errrrrm...
-
One of the few good things he has done.
Remember that game; first time I saw Matt Smith play. Looked destined to be a world beater.
-
If it was for dissent a man of his experience should know there's no point in arguing with a referee once a decision has been made.
As a result a new centre back will have to be drafted in for the opening game of next season.
Like to think we'd have been 'drafting one in' anyway, to be honest. Given that we only have two.
-
Feel for the bloke, especially because Lee Clark's the one to benefit.
But on the plus side, none of Donny, Barnsley or Yeovil worry me for next year.
-
Iv'e seen Byrom at Crewe and this match, he stands around while the game passes him by.
Impressive cameo at Carlisle, though.
-
If there's one thing about LJ, it's that he does represent our club really well. Astute bloke (...especially by football standards).
-
Losing Wes'd be a big blow; player of the season, arguably.

"The seating plan is still to be determined" - Otherwise known as "We're pretty sure it won't be finished in time".

- Wasn't their fault when we had a global crash when they where just about to start the Oldham Arena...
- Wan't their fault when the council :censored:ed up with Failsworth...
- Wasn't their fault when the funding was withdrawn for the Tuck Shop....
They have some :censored: luck don't they.... Notice how its always someone else...
I love the implication that Simon Corney was responsible for the global economic meltdown; priceless.

It's not often I say this, but in this instance, the FA has done exactly the right thing.

Celtic aside, Yes it is. If Celtic played the likes of Brentford or Wolves over two legs, I'd back the English sides.
That's largely irrelevant though (and I disagree, by the way, I think Celtic are probably better than Brentford or Wolves). The fact remains that 11 out of the 12 teams aren't Celtic, and 11 out of the 12 teams are also absolute garbage. Rooney can score as many as he likes against Kilmarnock; it's meaningless.

he was dire at Carlisle at the back end of last season; completed about two passes all game.
