Seems a waste of a loan if he coming on for only 10 minutes though, with his glowing recommendation from coaches and fans alike he should be starting, but then again Lockwood or Wilson can't be dropped.
Not entirely sure of the wisdom in throwing a 19 year-old centre-half - who's never played a professional game before - straight into a relegation dogfight, myself. Perfectly content with him being here as cover.

6 in 8 for Rooney at Aberdeen now.
Shocking decision...
Chris Killen scored 16 in 25 for Hibs after leaving us, can't say I miss him much.

Certainly looks as though we don't fade towards the end of games as much as we did under Dickov; perhaps Johnson's finally sorted out the chronic lack of fitness we've suffered from in recent years.
*we, being the club. He's done nothing for my chronic lack of fitness.

I've said it before but got shot down for saying it but can anyone tell me why Carl Winchester isn't given game time at full back ? He's taller than brown , better on the ball , better going forward and is about the same as brown at defending . So why isn't he played ? Or is it because he's out of our academy and no manager like giving kids out of our academy a chance ?
...he's out of Linfield's academy. He even represented their first team. He's no more 'one of ours' than Brown is.

Douglas, Baldock (S), Vincelot.

I havent seen us win since we beat Cheltenham 2-1 back in 2006! Admittedly I dont go as often nowadays as I used to, but its still over 30 odd games since then that I havent even had a sniff of a win.
To top it off in past seasons, I have managed to attend the games where we lost 7-1 to Cardiff, 5-0 away to Millwall and Reading , 4-1 at Yeovil, 6-2 at MK Dons and a 5-0 home drubbing to Peterborough. Last season I was working up in Manchester and made it to three 'home bankers' at BP against Walsall, Scunny and Bury..........which instead yielded a grand total of 2 points.
I finally plucked up the courage to go again this season against Brentford only to see us lose to a 93rd minute goal, but I'm planning to go to the Orient game, so anyone planning on going, dont..........as we will most likely lose!
You win.

Would this lad fit the bill? not the clubs first choice keeper so might be available;
Ever seen him play?

Could well be a loan fee.

Some people are just so witty.
-
I'd far rather someone paid their 20 quid and then buggered off than them not turn up at all.
-
...there's definitely a lesson to be learned here.
-
Thanks for letting us know.

It's actually 3 and a half added onto his current deal...
It's actually not. His current deal expired in the Summer of 2015. His new deal expires in the Summer of 2018. So it's only 3 years added onto his current deal, but the deal itself lasts for 4 and a half years.
-
The OS says it's a deal until the summer of 2018, so it's actually a four-and-a-half year deal.

or is it the knob heads on the pitch, causing fustration between the fans!!
...nah, it's definitely the knobheads in the stands.

not posted on here in a long time but after today's performance i need to have a say………. i think that we need to rethink the forward positions and then give the 2 main men a good run in the team to learn off each other.
I spoke to a friend who say that lee gregory is a selfish player who no matter what part of the area he is in he likes to take shots instead of our recent performances where we want to walk the ball into the net.
i would also say give paul rachubka a run in the team as he has signed a contract to see if we can keep a clean sheet and take oxley out the firing line for a bit.
i like lee johnson and paul murray but think like paul dickov needs a experience person to give him some guidance..
can we also try to sign lee gregory even if it spends our cup run money as i think it would be a good investment and on way back from vale park i looked at halifax score to see that lee had scored again.
Oxley's the least of our worries at the minute...

What's your actual line-up with that formatiom BP?
Interested to see how you place our players in that formation.
I dont think you can have Wes, Smith, Harkins, one other and still play 2 strikers like you have in that formation: so am interested to see who would play where and in what shape.
(With who we have now; i'm a 4-2-3-1 man myself!!)
My thoughts exactly.

Echo the sentiments above. In his time here, Cliff's conducted himself with the utmost decorum and professionalism. The period post the sacking of Dickov's backroom staff last December he stepped up to the plate in a coaching capacity, alongside his role as a player, and helped drag the club through what was undoubtedly a tricky spell. Although he was never necessarily the most technically gifted player, he always gave 100%, and I suspect his experience and influence on the younger players will be sorely missed.
All the best, Cliff.

4-1-3-2
With Wes, Smith and Harkins all playing?
-
No, I repeat the odd goal will get the club nowhere and may even take them down.
...or may even keep them up.
-
Yes, it wasn't from open play, if you are happy with odd goal keep on clapping.
I'd have been distinctly happy with a last-minute equaliser, and a very good point away at Walsall. Seemingly, you wouldn't have been.
-
If Rooney's penalty goes in, do you post this?
-
Worth noting that they used 16 players during the course of the whole season.
Nowt like continuity.
Where've you got that from? I make it 32...
-
Thought he did okay today. Some nice touches, and put in more of a shift than I was expecting. Suspect he'll excite and frustrate in equal measure, but at this level, I'll take that. Decent home debut, Gary.
Crawley next week..

And with three, not four games in hand (over Peterborough), but yeah.
