Finishes like this and we're safe...

It's interesting that in sports where current levels of performance can objectively be compared with historical levels, athletes generally seem to be 'better' than their predecessors. I'm thinking of athletics, swimming, cycling where performance is measured against the clock.
Seems a bit implausible to me that the opposite is happening in football, despite people telling us it was better in the olden days...

Danny Boshell was on the bench for Bradford (Park Avenue) on Monday, in the division below us. He's 42 in May...

Yeah agree, I recall him saying it doesn’t matter if we are at home or away. That is elite/big club mentality that you play same wherever as u boss games home and away. It’s odd then that his defensive tactics don’t link in with that thinking. He’s missing the lower league values of organisation, hard work, home crowd advantage that gives small teams little wins here and there. Without it u just rely on quality and when u aren’t a top team packed with the best players it doesn’t workNot sure about this... spent a lot of his career with Everton who for most of the time he was there were languishing in the bottom-half of the division. I'd have thought that hard work, exploiting home advantage and squeezing as much out of fairly limited players (at that level) would be right up his street...

Surely there cant be any fans left who think Unsworthy is doing a good job.I gave up on him after the Woking away game on a night match after previously giving him the benefit of my doubts.
Feels a bit unfair - he hadn't even taken over by the Woking game...

Two-and-a-half year deal feels... bold

Seems a solid if unspectacular signing. Contract to 2025 seems generous...

I'm convinced that given enough time, he'll come good. Ludicrous to be calling for his head after 9 games...

I reckon Vaughan'll have a couple of largely unsuccessful loan spells in the NLN before being released on a free in a couple of years' time...
...sincerely hope I'm wrong, though.

It was tongue-in-cheek... I don't think I'll be proven wrong. I'd be surprised if we finish above mid-table.

Sido Jombati, Christian N'Guessan and Dominic Poleon all playing for Ebbsfleet United today. Looks like they've found their level.
I was quite excited when we signed Poleon. Then I saw him play...

It was an accident no doubt but by the letter of the law he had to go off.
Never made an impression here but has clearly established himself at championship level.
Unfortunate for the lad, quite clearly accidental. What's the rule, excessive force? Not sure quite how it can be deemed an excessive accident... though admittedly it could've done some serious damage - right down the achilles.

I'll take my tongue out of my cheek now. I was simply saying that i don't see Ntambwe as anything more than National League at best, maybe even NL North or South. Just my opinion.
I think that's a fair assessment...

That game is getting far too complicated. When I first bought it it was simple. Try to buy and sell players on their attributes, pick a team and formation, and play a game.
These days even on Football Manager you can win without playing 4-4-2.
Game's gone.

At the start of the January window we were 4 points off the play offs. Now it's 11. We've been left behind.
It is quite disheartening to see teams like Bolton and Bradford leave us in their wake having strengthened in the window.
