  1. I think that I am right in sayingt hat only Man Utd, Chelsea and possibly Arsenal offload rubbish, the rest ALL sell to survive. We are not on our own!
  2. OK, we want him to stay.. but Hazelle is a great replacement. And if we are only getting 4,500 crowds and losing £14k a week, hands up who wants us to enter Administration again? with the Cup Run and a wedge from Trotts that may be steadying hand we need. Just hope that now a bid has been received, it may alert some bigger bidders.
  3. FAO Lookers Carl Agree 100% with your summation.
  4. The team is gash..... face it, it is hard to accept it, but the team today was rubbish.
  5. Get rid of Taylor, Davies, Smalley (please), Woolfy, Crossley, JP, and perhaps MaCdonald. And can we have a coach? Why bother to have a new stadium? It has been so plain. What a load of rubbish.
  6. I have not seen owt yet that says.. this lad is destined for anything but StalyVagas.
  7. I think that the level of moaning is small. Look at Liverpool; now that IS moaning! It is part of the game. Time for the players and managment team to just accept it and get on with it.
  8. OOps..dare I say that the forum wardens must be asleep, allowing any postings here, on this part that do not relate to OAFC? How dare you discuss matters of interest.. there MUST be a seperate forum for this?
  9. Sorry, the tangerine kit is awful.. washed out and a reminder of the evil Ken Bates era. Not everyone loves it! Glad it is going.
  10. so who will they be for? Eardley & Hughes is my guess.... I would certainly sell Eardley if we get a bid of £500k plus. Lomax or Hazelle slips in then get the lad from Coventry for left back.
  11. All signings are a risk. We do not know how he has be ntreated by the managment, it may be his only way out i.e. not try too hard. We have to rely on Shez's assessment of what the core ability it..for whoever comes in. At present Woolfy is not good enough and Alessandra needs more reserve games to mature.
  12. If the club is losing £14k a week, then we all need to support the owners in keeping the club afloat. OK, the price for football is high in the UK but we are all in the hands of the greedy agents. Till that is sorted, then we have to pay the price.
  13. KK will be missed but there are plenty more good players both at the club and "out there". Personally, I will take the planning approval any day over and above any success this year. Look at Walsall.. they brought their kids in and haven't they done well? Stick Taylor in midfield.
  14. Good move for him..can stay 'at home' big crowd, big money no doubt.. and no Dony! Could be worse. Perhaps we can now get a permanent player in and concentrate on long term-ness.
  15. The forum police are alive and well. Please take this the right way... I think that this is a major failing of this board. Too many places to post. Admin staff crawling over the posts and moving them. I much prefer one site see all, one click entrance and just a control over postings that slander. We have morphed into a site more complex and only slightly than less controlling than Government. Alec stands back to await the backlash.
  16. Write to the club, identify the culprit by row and seat and then leave it to the stewards. QED.
  17. There is clearly something wrong in the club. I heard stories a good games ago that he was asked to play here or there and he refused and verbally told Shez where to go.
  18. Ricketts scored but was very very poor. Lazy and everything he was with us. If he leaves then today's loss will be worthwhile.
  19. Crossley 5 Eardley 2 Bert 7 Stam 6 Trotts 6 McDonald 8 (MoM by a mile) Allot 7 Killkenny 4 Taylor 3 Davies 2 Hughes 6 Shez/Wright 1. Are they qualified coaches? Today was as bad as it gets. Where they all on the lash over Christmas? Too many rumours of boozing for me. We ahve become a pub team.. last year was so so much better. AND Walsall were nowt special.
  20. When I bought my Everton tickets, the queue was only 6 long but people were moaning. Justifyably, it was wet and cold. I just hope that in the brave new world, the ticket office is undercover and has more than 2 windows open. Think Tesco. Big queues = more staff. It is not like the club does not have the resources. Lets face it.. how many players are there? 30 or 40? Just imagine the picture.... we need more ticket sellers, the players want more money, let them respond to the demand and give an hours time, it may make them grateful for their comfortable lifestyles.
  21. Buchan was class just like John Hurst.. pants? Michael Ricketts just about as bad they get.
  22. I haven't read all of the comments above, but I am concerned that the club officials, not the owners, may well not have the financial knowledge to see a meat pie when it is a pudding. Our CE has risen from the ranks and that worries me. Wish we had a good financial brain on the board. But at the end of the day, we were dead when TTA bought us and they have been nothing but true to their word.
  23. First game he played for us on loan from Everton.... "you got to sign Neil Adams" song... he was an instant hit. He was nearly as good as that other winger George McVitie who could ping a ball across from the right wing like no other....
