Wow. I mean I want what you are on. If a boo boy is someone who doesn’t want absolutely shite players - like Joe Nuttall - in our team then I am life long member of the boo boys
Lost respect for the guy when he challenged the interviewer on the the suggestion our season had collapsed. If he is willing to be so honest about the quality of the team, why would he try and put a positive spin on the last 10/12 games when there is simply nothing positive to take from them.
Absolutely. 3 more yrs min in this league. Next season will be mid table shite again for sure.
crowds of sub 4K being the norm.
well done Darren and the board. You fucked it.
It’s about value for money. He may be our best player but if binning him frees up budget and (it’s a big if) it’s spent wisely then we can have a better team overall. The case is made by reference to his salary.
January would have been a strange time to suggest we werent winning enough games since we clearly were at that point. Our trajectory, at that point, had it been maintained would have seen us finish 3rd perhaps.
If any players want out then I will drive them wherever they want to go myself.
I can’t put it strongly enough but if it were a choice between getting rid of 4 of the 11 who regularly start or getting rid of the whole squad, I would go for the latter every time.
But I’d rather have a couple more seasons in this league to ready ourselves properly for l2 so we can maintain good progress, as many do when they get out of the NL.
no one flukes going up. Obviously we weren’t ready to go up as we finished 9th/10th. The questions answers itself
It could prove to be a blessing in disguise. Hard to see it right now and these things often only appear in hindsight.
The blessing could be that we aren’t kidding ourselves going into next. We went into this season having been fooled into thinking we might be able to mount a challenge as we had had a good second half of the season (results wise) when there was no pressure. Lulled us into a false sense of security. No danger with that in the coming close season.
And we were not ready to go up and probably didn’t expect to. But we wanted to see that the building blocks (on the pitch) were in place to challenge for the title next year. They most certainly are not.
the anger is really directed at the fact that we are no better placed now than we were this time last year. We face at least two more years in this league
