    Yeates was one positive tonight - 1st half marked out of the game but 2nd half I lost count of how many dribbles and Crosses he delivered against a tiring defence..

    It's playing to his strengths - he lacks pace but that second goal to me sums him up

    His second goal is exactly how we should be supplying him - cross from the byline and he puts everything in the net...ball defenders and goalkeeper!

    Too be fair you can't plan for when your keeper has a complete fking nightmare...poor start AGAIN but at 2-3 it's game on... yeates running at will and higdon winning headers then step forward David Cornell. .

    I'm not as concerned about the midfield choices on Saturday - it was more the choice uptop - how many times is poleon going to be dumped up there on his own and be expected to occupy two big bas***ds? I don't think it's in him - the ball didn't and won't stick hence the midfield getting swamped. for all higdon's faults at least he can do that particular job - leaving poleon to use his pace effectively..

    Higdon has been getting a bit of grief on here lately but Saturday was crying out for a 'battering ram' to occupy the two big defenders with poleon feeding off the knockdowns - rasulo looked like a little boy lost. it was just so damned obvious!

    I remember when I first started to go to Latics - I didn't give two :censored:s about formations, patterns of play and all the rest of this current obsession where everyone's a manager....all I cared about was scoring more than the other team and I didn't care who scored or which position they played in!
