  1. First clean sheet since Colchester away... got to be a positive?
  2. I reckon even 10 minutes is pushing it - the fella will never win over some 'fans' and will be written off even before the game starts!
  3. Solid performance for me - could easily have lost that but I'd have settled for a point beforehand.
  4. Burn was to coin a football phrase 'a walking red card'. The oldham bench were just a bit too slow getting dieng ready.
  5. They handed them the 4th - the fella took it well but the defenders backing off and not getting a challenge in....embarrassing and amateur at best. The scunthorpe defence on the other hand.. niggly, shirt holding wanting and being mostly first to everything and effective clearances (hoof up the field out of danger) when the ball went in their box.
  6. I don't understand the problem with allocated seating...ticket says where to sit...sit there! If you want to sit with your mates then buy the tickets together. If you bought a ticket for say the arena to see a band then would you even consider sitting wherever you wanted?
  7. Speaking to a few dale fans that I know - the expectations are similar to ours - they have their share of 'mainstand moaners' - first mis-placed pass and groans begin - hill is always moaning in the local paper at what he calls 'terrorists' being negative etc. last night they used 'zonal marking' and luckily they were 3 up quickly because from what the fans I spoke to said - it didn't work. the grass is not always greener....
  8. Ref for sat is Andy Wooler (oh dear) there will no doubt be controversy. ..
  9. I agree - he ran his bollocks off for 90mins -a bit Paul warne-esque but at least he showed some effort.
  10. We can dip into our vast pool of midfielders - I reckon the Cassidy injury will be more of a miss.
  11. Anyone else have the laurel and hardy theme tune in their head?
  12. Matt chambers says kerr is having a mare! - which to me is a good thing at least they are being tested and not a typical pre-season stroll about
  13. First time i have seen gunning and after reading opinions on here i feared he would be a big slow lump but i was actually surprised - not that slow (more greganish) very vocal and encouraging - deffo a leader - he would be the least of my worries. Im more concerned that we move the ball way too slowly and constantly stop forward movement to go back and square - i would want my strikers scoring a few to 'get their eye in' I know its only preseason but i try to see at least one of these games to get a feel for the team set up and patterns of play - today was poor except for parts of the first half ...i hope this 0-2 scoreline isnt a taste of the season to come. Positives: gunning (as above) croft (busy and involved) disappointed by green - maybe out of position but in a 'proper' game could be a liability. Turner looked lively and ploj tried to get in the game.
  14. I know its only pre season but dieng was way too slow on the ball today..
  15. Basir "Bas" Mohammed Savage (born 7 January 1982 in London) is a professional English footballer who plays as a striker. He is currently playing for Thai club TOT.
  16. He says similar things that johnson did BUT to me doesnt sound like he's trying to sell me a used car (a la johnson) his calming tone does make him sound confident ( bit like liam neeson in 'taken' with THAT speech!)
  17. And an 'attitude problem' could just be that some days he can't be arsed which makes him inconsistant - i would use mike jones at the other end of the spectrum - strikes me as a bloke who gives 100% in training and in matches
  18. I'm guessing at the reason why he's at this level with his talent - he's not injury prone so to me the obvious is some kind if 'attitude problem' If he didnt there's no way we could afford him.
