  1. One thing the Sopranos taught me is to be wary of Italian businessmen who are involved in waste management.
  2. Has anyone seen the away training top yet?
  3. Monkey tennis as a play off decider would be good.
  4. Didn't we take loads to Gillingham last year? I'll be there, the Mrs' Uncle is a Gillingham exile living in Cheshire so we went last season. I know it's a bit early to be recommending pubs, but this one in Rochester was quality last year (this is the only review I can find, it's well worth a visit): http://www.pencilandspoon.com/2011/12/man-of-kent-rochester.html
  5. "Where's your tool?" "What tool?" "This f****n tool." (JCH pulls out a subbuteo floodlight)
  6. London's Byrneing: A selection of Southerners gurning at the camera.
  7. Last of the Summer Wijnhard. Clyde Wijnhard, Carlo Corazzin, Nicky Banger and Stuart Barlow roam Saddleworth Moors, getting into trouble on a weekly basis.
  8. Come Whine with Me. Weekly episode following four main stand moaners going round to each others house for a gripe.
  9. Didn't we take about 3500 to Gillingham this season?
  10. There used to be a reporter in the Rochdale Observer called Wayne Anchors.
  11. The Lookers brings back a lot of memories. Sat on the barrier where the advertising boards were during the Premier League days, laughing my head off at some guy who fell over the advertising boarding during the play off game (I think it was QPR) when trying to head the ball back on to the pitch. Not to mention the two guys that used to sit in the lower tier, in the middle, who used to always make a Specsaver reference to the ref/linesman when they gave the opposition a decision. Jumpers for goalposts etc. Good times.
  12. Who did I sneer at? Just voicing my opinion. Forgive me for thinking that's what a forum is for.
  13. The username wasn't arusnak was it? Some City fans are getting extremely fickle these days. Could Johnson not have asked him to play to keep his fitness up, or get him sharper? As much as they are harping on about him being better off in the EDS, surely playing reserve games against older, more experienced players, would only help his development further than playing against players that, some of whom, will not make it past the level he would be at at League 1. Having said that, they were quick to forgive Tevez after he refused to come on, so maybe some of them think it is a footballers right to refuse to play and ultimately get away with it. I was worried that relations with City would go sour when I first read that he had gone back, but the fact that Vieira has stepped in and told him to come back and apologise shows the kid was probably in the wrong. Having said that, any post that begins with 'My mates Son' should probably be taken with a pinch of salt.
  14. Koukash has been given permission to buy the Roughyeds.
  15. They just invite the "If you're going to wear boots like that......" quote if he misses a sitter. I remember Merson going mad on soccer saturday once when Bendtner wore similar ones.
  16. And if they all wear curly ginger wigs they could call themselves moneystootight dimension. I'll get my coat.
  17. Just announced he's signed, two year deal with an option of a third.
  18. Yeah I think you're right. I think they made Leeds carry it over because it was blatantly obvious that Bates was trying to use it to his advantage. I thought Portsmouth got done again when they came out of it last season though.
  19. I understood it that they only deduct the points now when a team exits administration. I think the rules changed when Ken Bates tried to enter Leeds into administration when they were pretty much relegated from the Championship already.
  20. Paul Calf has distanced himself from the rumour, claiming that he would rather see Dave Lee Travis play Macbeth than buy a football club.
  21. Why don't they swallow their pride and apologise to Chinese Elvis. The crowd at half time were putty in his hands as he ran round the pitch waving.....i'm not even 100% sure that he was Chinese.
