  1. "Tonight's trialist was Liandro Martis after a very lot of searching (found him), very quick on the ball, beat most of the PNE players easily and scored a wonder goal from 30 yards, sign him up." Apparently we can't do that cos according to someone on here he's "too small"! People do come out with some crap. If he's good enough he's big enough :-)
  2. thanks, that made me laugh out loud, which is very rare nowadays...
  3. That's correct, according to the club's own statement it went right through the process and failed pretty much when the pen ran out of ink.
  4. and the official site statement was quite coherent. They gave it a go and didn't quite get there. Step up please Neil Adams - does anyone else remember another second choice Latics manager with Everton and Norwich connections?
  5. Back in the days of the internet 1.0 economic freefall there used to be a site called :censored:edcompany.com posting news of all the insolvent ecommerce and network tech companies. Perhaps we should start :censored:edfootballclub.com ?
  6. Thanks very much. There really are some sad people around...perhaps it's the "Payroll, Recruitment, HR and Bull:censored: Specialist" ?
  7. How can you tell? Has he got another account? I'm not Twitter literate...
  8. Got to be Paul Weller. Paul Daniels is dead - sorry to break the news so harshly...
  9. 26 points from the last 14 games, which is automatic promotion form...
  10. Oh actually it's one of our own youth players, central mid (?) been with us since age 9 https://twitter.com/alexread8?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor
  11. I'm guessing it's perhaps this guy... Previous clubs: Tilbury, Brentwood Town, Aveley Biography: 27 year old striker who signed for Harlow in July 2013 from Essex neighbours Aveley. Now in his third season with the club after breaking the clubs goal scoring record in 2013-14 with a magnificent 52 league and cup goals, he rattled in another 42 in the 2015-15 season. Read has also scored over 50 combined goals for Tilbury, Brentwood Town and Aveley. Quick, tricky and certainly knows where the back of the net is. Golden Boot Winner for the last two seasons in Ryman Division One North.
  12. Can someone say what's happened to him please? Can't see any mention. Did he slip into a parallel universe? Does that happen often?
  13. Yes. Kelly did well for the equaliser. I didn't think it was a corner BTW, for me the keeper kept it in. And if we get a goalie who can save those 2 then we will be doing well. Maybe Andy Gorton would have kept them out.
  14. Indeed. After our equaliser we were much too deep. Although Wilkinson was very good he was really tired out at the end because he'd done a lot of closing down, so I was puzzled to see him stay on for the last few minutes. I really felt that if we'd pushed Poleon up more and brought Amari on for Wilkinson we'd have had lots of chances at the end. They were there for the taking on the counter. Rachubka had no chance for either goal and made a couple of good saves, looks solid and very positive with the distribution. Really like the way we played the ball out, although Kusunga and Brown (both talented but lacking match time) were always quite frightening in possession. Really enjoyed Kusunga's celebration - I take it from the number of time he crossed himself that he will be making an appearance in church today - great to see someone displaying their thanks to God for what they have got.
  15. I think that the atmosphere, in terms of the hugely negative stuff that some of the "fans" come out with, keeps a LOT of people away from BP. A lot of the time it just isn't a fun atmosphere and it drags everyone down. So yes. Stay. Away. Moaners. Please.
  16. Nope, he's correct. Real supporters only please. Moaners drag the team down.
  17. Next time save yourself some money and don't bother turning up to the first half either. We need real fans.
  18. Fabulous one on the official site today.......... "Grounds conceded there have been challenges with Matteo Lanzoni and Genseric Kusunga, two recently signed defenders, only speaking pigeon English." I'll bet that's ruffled a few feathers. Although I suppose if you're trying to deliver an important message then pigeon English is the ideal language...................
  19. Why don't you pay the odd visit to the real world? We've progressed in the sense that we fought off insolvency and still have a club to support - currently with a really exciting manager and squad, so giving hope for the future. And I should think that SC values the money he has put in plus the time he takes to run OAFC as being worth a bit more than "crap". Maybe you should have taken the club over instead?
