  1. Ref a joke as well as the liners but we still won - sign of us improving.
  2. Can we have a win today please a draw would mean an away trip to Brisbane Road that I havent budgeted for. Thanks in advance.
  3. Its not normally a goalkeepers award but Roy Carroll has been a huge signing for Notts County and seems to be mom most weeks for them including against us.
  4. My dads coming back as soon as the new stand opens providing the facilities are up to scratch, he will buy 2 season tickets I suspect so there are fans out there who are waiting for change be it results or in his case something else.
  5. Happened at Bristol last week couple of fans had tickets cancelled because they bought tickets with cards registered in Oldham, as far as Im aware the match is pay on the day for Rochdale fans so shouldnt be the same issues.
  6. Suspect the article in the Chron is an attempt to show Barry in a different light, not sure how he would directly influence the team but it was clear last seasons disciplinary had to be improved on, so fair play to him if he did work on it.
  7. Id question the zero income other than on matchdays, some nice houses gone up at the bottom of sheepfoot lane and the carparks seem pretty full every time I go past on all days of the week.
  8. I doubt its that simple to be honest, If thats the case why pay fees for Poleon and Turner and never play them ? Didnt I read in the Chron that our deal with SD will elevate us into a position where we can compete with the top teams in the division ? Mixed messages Id say.
  9. Doesnt say much really other than the standard we will have to sell in January to plug the gap that the low crowds are having, heres a suggestion keep the team bite the bullet and it may stop some of the disenchantment among stay away fans ? At some stage the manager has to be backed, results will see the fans come back more than anything.
  10. Totally agree same as Anfield last season, before we went up to Prem I had stood on the Chaddy every game for 6 or 7 years, when we went up couldnt get in the Chaddy for season ticket holders and I couldnt afford one !
  11. Vale away when we lost our unbeaten run if I remember right there was around 2000 Latics it pissed down most the day and Robbie Earle scored the scrappiest goal ive seen to this day right in front of me.
  12. It means the 3000 we do have are a very loyal passionate bunch, we can spread the word and Ive managed to persuade one or two to take in a game recently but theres no doubting pound for pound you cant beat an away day, we havent won for 5 away from home yet the away days is all people are talking about the club have to ask the question - Why ???
  13. Before the Premiership days the numbers were not as bid at Maine Road same at Leeds
  14. I remember us getting the corner by the Kippax at Maine Rd we never used to take that many but when they came to BP they always had the terrace at the Rocky Rd end and all the paddocks, used to like Bradford away always hammered in the stand was one tier then, used to lose to them then though, remember being there and it went off may of been Halifax in our end and then when we came out it was going off everywhere.
  15. If I remember Ipswich away was about 2500-3000 I went when Sean McCarthy made his debut a couple of seasons later and there was less than 100 there, the season we went up I went to nearly every game Barnsley away was well over 5000 on a hot sunny day with the Junior Latics in another stand, Sheff Wed away that season was a big crowd 35000 I was in there main stand as I missed out on a ticket for the away end, David Currie scored after about 2 minutes and I couldnt help jumping up luckily a few more latics did the same around me, got a load of :censored: when they made it 2-2 but it was still a good day out.
  16. Draw for me in the next month swindon bristol peterborough and preston play each other quite a lot plenty of draws will do if not bristol wins, they are as good as up leave us to fight out for 2nd to 6th.
  17. Every team relies on one or two players if Preston lost Garner or Bristol lose Agard it becomes more difficult but I think we are better equipped squad wise to cope, we did lose Forte for two or three and still performed, its all about keeping it going and not losing momentum it may be why the manager is looking at cover for those positions as he recognises the loss they would be to the team.
  18. That would have to be an horrendous list of injuries for that to happen, two of our best three centrehalf have been out for the past few weeks and we seem to have absorbed their loss pretty well, keeping Forte going will be the crux for me if he can continue to score in his 60/70 minute run outs I think we have enough in the squad for top 6 this year.
  19. Rochdale wont fill two stands nevermind three is anything being done to obtain more tickets for away fans, we are not talking one or two without I know at least 20 without tickets who will be going.
  20. tbf as someones already commented it had run its course, I think we all know where we stand and it was getting a little repetitive. We can get back to talking about the football now.
