  1. Got to disagree watched him very closely pre season particulaly at Barrow and he read the game very well for such a young player, when I spoke to him recently he described himself as an holding midfielder so I would say thats the position he probably feels most comfortable in.
  2. The times Ive seen him in midfield which to be fair was pre season he was one of the better players on the pitch, Im sure he has struggled with the pace of League one football, but to be fair he is adjusting to life in a new enviroment, he is definately one for the future in whichever position he is asked to play and for me he has all the attributes to be a very good player for us.
  3. Yes fair point and your probably right, Dieng seems the obvious one to step in, its difficult to see how Lockwood is going to get match fit with no reserve team this season.
  4. May be an ideal game for Lockwood to come back in then ? Would be better than him having to step in against Sheff Utd or Rochdale.
  5. I bet Corney had a say in bringing Worrall in last season as he gave him the man of the match award when Bury played at BP.
  6. Are Lockwood or Elokobi anywhere near a return ?
  7. Rooney only played under the current boss Lee Johnson Im struggling to find the connection with Dickov.
  8. Pledges for Saturdays game, £5 if Mike Jones scores £5 for an Oldham clean sheet £5 if we score more than 2 goals
  9. Most firms will have shortened up today after Crawley lose against 10 man Gillingham despite leading 1-0 last night, we will have a field day Saturday and Id be shocked if we go off at even money, fully expect us to put 2 or more past a very poor Crawley team, expect Jones to be even more impressive if thats possible against his old employers, he and Johnson will be running the show on Saturday for sure.
  10. BBC are showing Hartlepool v Blyth as the televised game on the Friday night.
  11. He only came back into the team Saturday he has been out injured for the past couple of months, littles changed !
  12. For me theres no chance of Winchester starting id like to see Kelly sitting in with Jones and Johnson in front leaving Forte Ibhere and Philly up top.
  13. I see Crawley, Leyton Orient and Walsall are all dropping admission prices for their JPT quarter finals to £5 adults £1 kids, no chance for us but at least others are giving it a go.
  14. Agree its worked out well for Grealish having a season with Notts County in League one he is now a regular in Villas first team squad, they may be hoping Johnson can benefit in the same way.
  15. I think its fair to say more were there because of the reduced prices I know 2 for a start, whether the club were any better off for it who knows but on the day we had 3000+ paying customers which as a percentage of our home crowds wasnt too bad.
  16. Who says we are paying his wages ? It will suit Villa to have him out on loan he needs games and he is in the shop window, everyones a winner.
  17. Thats a shocking comment, as my 8 year old stands with him and is part of the group I generally sit close by to keep an eye on him not that I should have justify myself to someone who clearly knows nothing about me.
  18. I do, how was your day out at Burnley v Hull today then ? Did you enjoy the drum there then ?
  19. Forgot some of our fans dont recognise the JPT its down in the record books though and I enjoyed it
  20. Technically 4 wins on the spin, drew with Barnsley and won the game on penalties record at home since losing to Orient is Port Vale 1-1 Bradford 1-0 Fleetwood 1-0 Gillingham 0-0 Scunthorpe 3-2 Barnsley 2-2 (won on pens) Walsall 2-1 Coventry 4-1 Bradford 2-1 Leyton Orient 1-0
  21. Agree Chubs was outstanding today, mention to Jones Mills Kelly and Philly as well, thought Poleon was unlucky showed some good signs today and unlucky not to score.
