  1. Can I just point out that the correct spelling of Roger Plamer is without a D. Also, Rodger Wylde does have a D. Thanks
  2. He is a greedy, sulking, whinging, talentless waste of a Latics shirt. According to some on here. I, however really rate him (along with John Toshack and the majority of other managers in this division who have commented on him)
  3. Well, I think he has a great taste in boots for a start off!!
  4. He's a football wizard, there has to be a twist. Our football wizard is top of our goals scored list!! So it is true - I cannot multi-task!!
  5. Ha Ha......He's a football wizard.....(I don't know the rest of the lyrics!!) But pinball, lazy, thick, whatever people on this board have called him this season, he is our top scorer and we'd be stuffed without him.
  6. If I was forced to choose one from Warne, Alice-Sandra or Davies, I would pick Davies everytime.

  8. The game is probably also available via SKY Radio. Channel 0158. You probably have that as one of your favourites anyway Jay.
  9. As the Carlsberg marketing team would say........."probably" Unless you called it Umbra and had a very close but slight variation of the diamonds....
  10. 77 - 79 Umbro with the diamonds running down the sleeves. Ricky Kowenicki, Kenny Clements - Classic
  11. Anyone remember Bobby Johnstone? Big name player came to Latics out of the blue and put thousands on the gate. In Oldham Athletic Complete Record 1899 - 1988 by Garth Dykes, Johnstone's pen picture is... "An instant success at Boundary Park, Bobby Johnstone's instinctive ability to control the game from midfield and his brilliant knack of creating goals with a single defence-splitting pass soon had the crowd baying in appreciation. The highest Boundary Park attendance for six-and-a-half years (17,116) saw his debut game against Exeter City." Sound like anyone you know? So Latics fan and local boy comes home on a small basic with a cut of the gate and helps to secure the future of the club he supported as a boy......I think there would be extra people who would pay to come and watch him - A La Johnstone
  12. Nothing to do with it being a bad ball from Allott then?
  13. I'd rather we kept the ball in the corner than conceed a late goal
  14. I was sat in White Block (Main Stand, Closest Section to the RRE). I still remember the crack of Hoolies leg breaking.....
  15. Home sweet home I remember Notts Forest fans lighting fires on the RRE. If I remember correctly, it was a winter night match and I think Gary Hoolickin broke his leg. I couldn't blame them for lighting fires - it was bloody cold like!!!
