Is that a comparison before they made it or after? It's only a valid argument once you've seen them play a few games.
I seem to remember Leicester fans moaning about this 'Kante' bloke from a lower division French team not being good enough before he kicked a ball and he ain't a bad player.
How many of us know whether his game is more suited to the English game.
You never know, he could be a Fane with a goal in him.
Let's be proper, level headed Latics fans and give the unknown newbie a chance
!!!
Stop being sensible. You should know it's not allowed.
What we need is Agent Mick at every training session to see if this kid shows anything skillful. Having said that, I'm hardly surprised he's been written off before he's been here 10 minutes. Someone already mentioned Fitz Hall; Ernie Cooksey and Matt Smith came from non League and did more than OK.
Oh, I forgot, they were English, so signing them was fine. If they'd been French <insert baseless comments here>

That's Balmoral Golf Club in Belfast. Sounds lie he's still home for the summer. Obviously he hasn't taken up the contract offer from us.
His Instagram account showed him at a gig in Ireland on the day training started. If he comes back, I'll be amazed. Thing is, has he been offered a deal elsewhere?

Just looked at Miller's stats. According to www.statbunker.com he's started 139 games, plus 114 as a sub and only scored 47. Not exactly prolific.

At least that's 50 grand more than we paid for him. I'll settle for that.

Is it just me that thinks football shirts on overweight adults looks hideous? All for the price of 40 quid!
In all honesty, does it really matter if an adult wants to wear a football shirt? Is it OK if they're not overweight?

Sorry y'all.

I was hoping it was Yohan Cabaye until you said he looked like Kante.

Don’t forget to submit your Round 2 predictions.
Round 2? I thought it was the round of 16. Round 2 was a fortnight ago. Pay attention, man.

Was Maouche there?
Yes, according to Agent Mick. The only time I saw Maouche play was a very short cameo at Charlton. He actually looked as if he might have some idea what to do.

2 "frenchlads" as reported a few weeks ago one called Yohan (Kante lookalike).
Clarke, Gerrard, Dummigan, Hunt, Hamer, Edmondson, Stott, Sheridan, Uche, Byrne, Baxter, Gardner, Nepo, Maouche, Benteke, Holloway, Zeus, Placide, Fane - think that's all.
No McLaughlin no Moimbe.
Bunn leading session, lots of laps round pitch they were flagging a bit when I left.
Well done, Agent Mick. I take it there was no sign of McEleney either? Your next task is to establish where the #frenchlads are from and what positions they play. This could mean a promotion to MI5 for you.

Thought so - just nipping down to the gym!
We expect, nay demand, a detailed report of who's there, who isn't, who looks determined, who looks pissed off, etc, etc by mid afternoon. Crack on, Mick. You know it makes sense.

The pitch looks similar to how it ends up in recent seasons. No change there, then.
Great work Andy.
Come on, ya buggers. Get yer tenners out and take part.
(That's called the subtle approach).

Coventry? They wanted him in January.

Don't see how there can ever be a club identity until we pick one design and stick with it for about 50 years. That's how it's worked with other clubs who have recognisable kits.
Which we did until some silly sod decided to change it all and we never went back to our traditional design.

I genuinely have no idea who they are.

Now remove tongue from cheek. In case you're serious, it's Byrne and Baxter, but I think you knew that!

What do they coach into keepers these days????
When I was a goalie I was taught -
1/ - IF you can't catch it push it away towards the touchline or out for a corner.
2/ - When diving to make a save always go with the hand which ever side the ball is going.
On the goal Pickford got his fingertips to it with his left hand, going with his right would have given him another 4 inches of stretch.
Basic stuff but appears lacking in most goalies at all levels.
I was taught exactly the same and that's over 50 years ago. There is, however, a natural tendency to with your right hand if right handed and left hand if left handed, and it's sometimes hard to break that habit. Pickford is left handed, so maybe he's having trouble breaking that natural thought process. If you watch Petr Cech, he would sometimes go with his left hand when the right would have been better. Maybe it's something left handers have trouble with. Oh, I'm left handed. That explains a lot, I guess.

"Hmmm" is about all I can muster for the home kit. They'd might as well as have just kept last season's with the sponsor's name changed. Definitely wouldn't want one. The away kit is excellent, though.

In fairness, I've only tried on my phone. Maybe laptop will do a better job? I'll find out later.

Problem is nobody really has any proof that AL’s signings where on a lot more money. Only player that has been declared as being on more salary was Queensy. So you are just speculating that this might be a reason. I think it was Wellens bad handling of his players and not being able to motivate them. If we had stuck on a lot more of the younger players instead of pre Madonna’s then we might have stayed up. Wellens brought in Benyu (lightweight) Pringle (unfit) Mcelleny ( home sick puppy) and none of them had any fight in them for the cause. ONLY ONE PERSON to BLAME WELLENS
Don't you just love predictive text?
But I get what you mean, even though I'm not in full agreement. The players take a huge chunk of the blame simply because they failed to perform to their potential.

Always will support England and will never want to stop watching them, no matter how poor they may be. I think this is the best chance since 1966 to do something special, so I'm rooting for them in every game.
However, Latics is in my blood and has been for almost 68 years. All 4 divisions (going back to the 3rd North) in all their different guises have been enshrined in my psyche, so it's promotion for Latics first with a World Cup win for England a very close second.

And that, dear friends, is the crux of the whole thing. Mind you, that won't stop some folk regarding a player as useless just because they've never heard of him or who he plays for. You can almost hear the cries of "get off, you're crap" during the warm up before his first game.
