I'm still in the Unsworth out camp. Simply because there are much better managers out there. My fear is he will see out his three year contract at which point it will not be renewed. Also, at that point, we'll still be in div five.

I suppose what we need now is a statement from the board giving Unsworth their full backing. At least then we can rest assured that by this time next week he'll have been sacked.

Everything is in place for promotion apart from one thing, the right manager. Unsworth clearly hasn't got what it takes, neither has Mogadon John. Unsworth is a dinosaur i'm afraid. Best consigned to a natural history museum.

I think I and most fans were for giving him time last season and hoped he'd succeed. However, as we neared Christmas, I was in the Unsworth OUT camp. Then we improved results no end even though the football was still shit. I think that kind of won him a reprieve, certainly in my eyes. But yesterday just proved that he can't or won't learn. I feel sorry for Frank. He's worked wonders for our club and yet he's being badly let down by a donkey. All Franks investment is being wasted. Well not all but it's not going to get us where we want to be.

More like Mogadon John in my opinion. Though slightly less expressive.

Let's hope today's result is a good thing. Either the stubborn twat finally realises his tactics of 3 or 5 at the back don't work etc or Frank gets shut.

I'm still a "Unsworth Outer" simply because I think there are better managers out there who can do a much better job while providing better entertainment. That's not to say he can't get us promoted, he might, but I'd rather win promotion under a Joe Royle style team rather than a Colin Wanker type team. Of course, I hope i'm wrong.

That's very pessimistic. Over a long period, I've noticed many of your posts have a bleak tone. I realise it's been tough as a Latics fan since the "pinch me" years but I hope your real life is not as negative as your posts.

Going completely against the general mood here but I'll be happy with a season "quite a bit better" than last. Better football, more entertainment and no worry of relegation. In a nutshell, progress. That in itself would be a breath of fresh air after all the shit we've endured since the collapse of the Moore tenure.
