  1. Yeah I agree about the steak pie but at the last game I sat behind a woman who had a meat & spud pie and the aroma (of the pie) was quite appealing so I'm going to try one on Saturday. I just hope it's hot. Is anyone familiar with the pies at the Village Manor Bakery in Waterhead ? These are the standard of pies that should be on sale at BP, especially for a club with ambitions. Take note Frank.
  2. I'm not right impressed with the pies in the JR stand. I've tries the chicken curry and the steak but they've all been lukewarm. A pie has just got to be hot. Please please hear my prayer Mr Pie Man, serve your pies hot.
  3. This forum always amuses me, I view it as the bi-polar or topsy-turvy forum. Either really down or really up after a good win. However, dare I say that the current upward trend looks promising. After all four wins on the bounce is some achievement, especially with a "shit" set of players that we had several weeks ago. It also looks like "hasn't a clue Dave" might have a clue after all much to my amazement. Lets all hope it doesn't turn to shit again in August.
  4. Exactly. Can't usually read/understand your posts never mind agree but give me an owner who has rowed across the Atlantic every time rather than a drama queen actor.
  5. That conjurs up horrible thoughts that require mind bleach but i've got to ask the question. If you've had that much to drink, would you be able to lift Susan Boyle up and pin her against the wall while you completed the deed. Apologies if i've made anyone feel queesy.
  6. Perv. Blue and white obviously, used to be tangerine and blue in her youth of course.
  7. Not quite but having seen the weather forecast I might advise her to wear wellies or if i'm feeling really bold I might say "those shoes don't quite match that dress dear".
  8. Just a couple of months ago I was firmly in the Unsworth out camp and thought him incapable of learning. But I think he's slowly turning it round and although a lot of the football is still shite I reckon we have a few good players in defence and attack. I think the football will get better if we get some good midfield players in who can control the game. I just hope we don't sign Chapman. I know he's bagged a few goals but I don't see him being effective at all which is worrying as he seems to be a favourite of Unsworth.
  9. I don't think for one minute that a reminder is implying that the board is inept. When my wife goes out I always remind her to take her phone, glasses and lipstick but I would never dare to suggest she is inept.
  10. You reckon there's a problem with making sure they do know ffs ?
  11. Our Dave should ring Rosenior up and tell 'im he's talkin crap.
  12. I think Bobby Charlton looked forty the day he was born, along with his brother Jack.
  13. Stonking win for them tonight, great time to be a Gateshead supporter. Bit of a "pinch me" end of season flourish. Really chuffed for them. Wish we could have a bit of that.
  14. I always thought Ralph Coates would have looked more at home sat in a BBC sit-com with a pint in hand and a bag of crisps.
  15. Be interesting to see how the current form team Gateshead go on at Eastleigh tonight. I'm expecting them to win and go above us, they deserve to but as we know, it's a funny old game.
  16. Yeah, he's gone to the chippy for a pudding on a muffin with large chips, gravy and a meat pie.
  17. Jim Beardall was the finest striker we ever had. Pacy, agile, good in the air and should have played for England.
  18. I always get a yearning for fish, chips, peas, bread & butter and a pot of tea whenever anybody mentions Whitby.
  19. No there was nowhere near the money. I think the amount of money has spoiled football, for me at least. It's just a thought I had at the time. We were a very popular club, always on TV and in the news.
  20. When we got promotion to Div1 and then become founder members of the Prem, I would have liked the owners to have sold the club to someone with big money. Maybe then we could have a few more years of the good life. I would imagine that the club would have been quite saleable at that time.
  21. And I think he actually scored a goal if i'm not mistaken. Not saying he should be kept though.
  22. Haaland will walk out on City and come to us in the summer. Will you be on my case too if that doesn't 'appen ?
  23. Not arguing either way here but aren't the players insured ? What does that cover ? Could wages be covered ? I'm sure the league would have looked into this. (well you would hope they have)
